Having gold in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is essential for buying all the cool new things, getting pre-raiding gear, and more, so finding ways to farm that gold is always a good idea. Players can make gold by simply completing quests and killing enemies, but this general method isn't the best for becoming rich. There are many other means to earn coins, and having that money will make the game that much more enjoyable.

The World of Warcraft: Dragonflight pre-patch is already underway with the game currently in week two. While the full expansion will not release until November 28, a lot of the new content is already underway. Several methods of gold farming are still the same as before the new expansion, especially where the auction house is concerned, however, with the rework of the Professions system and new resources to gather, there is plenty that has changed.

Most people who are trying to earn money in World of Warcraft know that the Auction House is the first stop, regardless of if a new expansion is out. It can definitely be the fastest way to make gold, nevertheless, there is always a risk of losing gold too, similar to if players were investing in the stock market. Farming sought-after resources is another great plan, and with the new content changes in WoW: Dragonflight, there are several to focus on. The resources that players will want to focus on most commonly come from the Element Invasions and wandering elementals in the new zones. These resources include:

  • Rousing Earth
  • Rousing Fire
  • Rousing Air
  • Rousing Frost
  • Rousing Order
  • Rousing Blood

The Professions system has undergone a major overhaul with World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. Most notable when talking about gold farming is the idea of Crafting Specializations and Item Quality with the new crafting stats, all of which are features added for the new expansion. Due to all these changes, the actual skill level a player has in their Profession will now play an important role in how much gold can be earned from crafting. The ability to re-craft items is also expected to make crafting more useful.

While there are many ways to earn gold in and throughout the launch roadmap of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, several of the modifications that have come from this expansion will affect previous methods such as crafting. However, there are always ways to farm gold with the methods of gathering resources, looting items from attacking mobs, and, of course, mastering the Auction House. It will be interesting to see how all these changes affect the overall gold market of the game once the expansion fully launches.
