The upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight, is now available for pre-order, along with a number of editions that come with extra content. Between the expansion itself, the three digital editions, and the physical collector's edition, WoW players have plenty of options to choose from. In addition to the content included in WoW: Dragonflight's various editions, players who pre-order the expansion will receive a Drakks pet as a bonus item, regardless of their edition.

Set to release by the end of this year, Dragonflight will bring a suite of new and updated content to World of Warcraft. Dragonflight will introduce WoW's first race/class hybrid, the Dracthyr, along with a new level cap, new locations, and updated mechanics. Many of the newly-announced Dragonflight bundles include not only these features, but previous expansions as well, for those who might've stepped away from the game for a time. Finally, the Collector's Edition adds several physical items to the veritable hoard of in-game content awaiting players who purchase it, securing its place at the top of Dragonflight's edition hierarchy.

The Dragonflight expansion can be purchased or pre-ordered in three variants: the base expansion itself, the Heroic Edition, and the Epic Edition. The Heroic Edition adds a free level-60 character boost, a Tangled Dreamweaver mount, and a Murkastrasza pet - the latter being a murloc modeled after Alexstrasza - to the items received by the player. Alexstrasza is the face of the Dragonflight expansion, being an iconic character in WoW lore and the dragon queen that ended WoW's Cataclysm by leading the other dragonflights against Deathwing the Destroyer. With the Epic Edition, players receive the same content as described above, plus 30 days of game time, a cosmetic effect for their Hearthstone, a head-slot item called the Diadem of the Spell-Keeper, and the Wings of Awakening, a back-slot transmog that comes in five color variations to represent the five dragonflights.

Dragonflight's Complete Collections Include Previous Expansions & More Bonuses

For players who haven't been keeping up with World of Warcraft, the Dragonflight release offers two chances to catch up in the form of Complete Collections. The Complete Collections come in Heroic and Epic Editions, both including every base expansion released thus far, as well as an array of other benefits. The Heroic Complete Collection also includes a level 50 character boost, and 30 days of game time, and the Heroic Edition of Wow's last expansion, Shadowlands, in addition to the contents of the Dragonflight Heroic Edition. Rounding out the Complete Collections, the Epic Edition grants players access to all of the items offered by the Epic Edition of Dragonflight and the Heroic Complete Collection.

Dragonflight's final edition, and only physical edition, is the Collector's Edition. Owners of the Collector's Edition will receive a digital code for the Epic Edition of Dragonflight, including all of its bonus content as described above. In addition, they will receive the following physical benefits: a mousepad depicting Alexstrasza from the expansion's key art, a hardcover art book, and a set of five pins representing the five primary dragonflights. In the event that one pre-orders a digital edition of Dragonflight, but decides that they want to upgrade to the Collector's Edition, they will receive Blizzard Balance credit equivalent to the digital version's cost, as long as they redeem the Collector's Edition's game code before the end of 2023. Given Dragonflight's variety of editions, players who are eager to grind to the new level cap, experience WoW's new Dragonflight Evoker class, or just explore new regions at their leisure have their pick of the ideal way to evolve their World of Warcraft experience later this year.
