Jeff Goldblum says that getting another season of his docuseries The World According to Jeff Goldblum is his most fervent wish. The star, who will be appearing in next year's hotly-anticipated sequel Jurassic World: Dominion, has been the host of his own Disney+ streaming docuseries, co-produced by National Geographic, since 2019. The second season premiered just last month, on November 12, 2021.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum follows a very simple format in which Goldblum sits down with experts for half an hour to chat about particularly interesting topics. Goldblum doesn't do research beforehand, only bringing his natural curiosity to the interviews. Topics covered in the 12-episode first season and the 5-episode second season (which experienced production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic) include fireworks, sneakers, coffee, ice cream, and tattoos. In 2020, the series was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special.

Speaking exclusively with Screen Rant, Jeff Goldblum explained how much he would like to make another season in a uniquely Goldblum-y way. He explained that "that would be my most fervent wish. Are any other wishes I have that are more fervent? Let me see. No, that might be my most fervent wish." He is not sure yet if another season is in the cards, but if it is, it will likely happen "sometime in the next year." Read the full quote below:

You know, I don't know [if we'll get another season]. But it's my fondest wish. That would be my most fervent wish. Are any other wishes I have that are more fervent? Let me see. No, that might be my most fervent wish. Oh, please. Starlight, star bright, please deliver us another season of The World According to Jeff Goldblum tonight.

I don't know if it'll be tonight, but sometime in the next year. I hope so.

Jeff Goldblum is currently hard at work with Jurassic World: Dominion. Although the film's production has already concluded, the press tour leading into its summer 2022 release is sure to be demanding. Goldblum will be especially involved this time around, because the big hook of the new film - other than the fact that the dinosaurs are now running loose on the mainland United States - is the return of all three original stars of 1993's Jurassic Park: Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern.

Once the intense production and promotion process for Jurassic World winds down, hopefully The World According to Jeff Goldblum can ramp up again. Goldblum is currently in pre-production on two projects (the dramas The Price of Admission and They Shot the Piano Player), so he will be busy for some time. However, those shoots are likely to be far less demanding than the effects-heavy Jurassic films, and the process of filming the docuseries is so streamlined it would be entirely possible for him to fit episodes in between moments on set.
