The World According To Jeff Goldblum Trailer Is As Bizarre As You'd Expect

Jeff Goldblum The World According to Jeff Goldblum Disney Plus(1)

Disney+ has unveiled the first official trailer for The World According to Jeff Goldblum and it's every bit as mind-boggling as people expected. Having made his big-screen debut in 1974, Goldblum has worked in the industry for over 40 years. As one of the most eclectic and outwardly eccentric people in Hollywood, the actor has become as beloved by the masses for his unique wit and personality as he is his considerable resume of performances.

His most famous role is arguably that of Dr. Ian Malcolm in 1994's Jurassic Park. He would later reprise the role in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and again (albeit briefly) in last year's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Goldblum's turn in the original film has since become the stuff of internet legend, spawning countless memes and even a statue in its honor. As well as that, the actor has turned in fondly remembered performances as Seth Brundle in The Fly, David Levinson in Independence Day, and, most recently, as The Grandmaster in Thor: RagnarokThe latter being a role he may or may not return to in Thor: Love and Thunder or one of the many other announced Phase 4 movies.

In the meantime, Disney+ has released the official trailer for Goldblum's upcoming docuseries on their official Twitter page. Although The World According to Jeff Goldblum was previously announced, nothing could prepare fans for what is actually to come. Described as "an extraordinary look at ordinary things", the show follows the self-proclaimed "Late Gold-Bloomer" as he travels the world and delves into such topics as sneakers, tattoos, and ice-cream. All the while breaking into occasional song and throwing himself headlong into such activities as street basketball and synchronized swimming. You can "taste" and "enjoy" the full trailer below:

Though it's unknown whether Goldblum will be seen in live-action within the MCU any time soon, fans will still get to hear his distinctive voice. It's been confirmed that he will voice The Grandmaster in Disney+ upcoming animated show Marvel's What If...?. Each series of the show will take a hypothetical look at how the MCU would be different if one element from a movie had been changed. The first season will explore the idea that Peggy Carter, rather than Steve Rogers, was given the super-soldier serum. The first image of Peggy in costume was teased at the show's D23 panel. Hayley Atwell will voice the role of Captain Carter while Westworld's Jeffrey Wright will play Uatu the Watcher. Goldblum, meanwhile, will feature as The Grandmaster in at least one episode.

In terms of Goldblum's own show, however, it clearly defies description and has to be seen to be believed. It's arguably the strangest fans will have seen Goldblum since the Ariana Grande parody skit on The Late Late Show. The actor is clearly having a blast of a time, unabashedly delving deep into his passions and allowing people a glimpse at the way he views the world. Asking the questions only he would think to ask, the trailer will no doubt leave fans eager to join him on the bizarre, unpredictable journey as soon as they can.
