Wordle has been at the fingertips of so many netizens and has become the sensation of the year. This competitive and simple but deceptively difficult game has been gripping users since the start of 2022, making a name for itself as one of the best free mobile games. At first, the game was a proud display of the player's intellect and verbal agility. Feeling smart was wonderful - but with more Wordles spinning out every day, 'smart' hasn't remained consistent.
Some Wordles were a breeze, some days were just brutal, and some were purely puzzling. Wordle's game strategy is simple, easy, and mostly uses everyday words. But, sometimes, the game gives a trickier word, causing Twitter to go into meltdown over losing their all important streak. One person's easy Wordle is another's hurdle, but sometimes Wordles create too many hurdles.
Wordle #265 - Just WATCH-ed it Go
Who knew 'WATCH' would ever be a difficult word? Wordle 265 ruined many players' Friday (March 11th, 2022). Part of the ruin was the word itself, but most of it was realizing what the word was.
The answers after a failed (X/6) Wordle game ache more because most of them turn out to be everyday words that some players just couldn't think of within six attempts. A lot of Wordle users complained about losing miserably to WATCH aka Wordle #265 - hopefully, consecutive Wordles helped them reclaim their streaks.
Wordle #249 - The Missed Discovery
February 23, 2022, was a beautiful day until this Twitter user played Wordle. The word for the day was TROVE and plenty of players were just unable to crack it. This moderately easy word became the hardest when there was a letter consistently missing through all six tries!
A couple of Twitter users too couldn't figure out TROVE that day, but, there were many who could. In fact, some folks aced the Wordle game for TROVE in just the second try - 2/6 looks pretty good on a Twitter portfolio for Wordle.
Wordle #243 - Couldn't Seal This One!
Unlike the Feb 23rd subjective fail, February 16th was more of a collective cry. Wordle #243 aka CAULK just didn't sit right with many Wordle players.
This word strayed from the path of everyday vocabulary and some players struggled so much that they were simply speechless while sharing their Wordle updates for the day. Some players gave up even before the sixth try. Most couldn't get that one letter right (unlike the Twitter user above) - but there were some incredible minds who cracked this one just like every other Wordle on their streaks.
Wordle #251 - Got as Vague as Possible
If Wordle #251 was a spelling bee contest, many players would be VIVID-ly wrong. Despite being an active part of so many daily conversations, this particular word somehow tripped players up. Many Wordle fans simply couldn't figure out what word had two Vs.
Like the Twitter user @Empdizzle, many players were left agitated with a broken streak when they were X/6 at Wordle #251. Nevertheless, there were those who aced VIVID at 3/6, like Twitter user @251Erint, and that seems to be the highest score for #251.
Wordle #240 - Clearly, Couldn't Believe It
It was Valentine's day and Wordle was in the mood for some irony. We're unsure if CYNIC was purposely the word for the day or if it was just a random spin like every other Wordle. Maybe some Wordle failures seem to tell us more about ourselves - and surprisingly good things!
Sadly, like the user above, many players couldn't believe their eyes when they lost to CYNIC of all words. While that was most of the Wordle scene on V-day, some Wordle players couldn't believe they got it right!
Wordle #258 - Got AHEAD and Got Nowhere
Sometimes it can feel like Wordle is one of the hardest games to beat. The reason why so many players get some Wordles wrong is the tendency to look at the tougher side of vocabulary and overlook the easier. This is probably because of what's happened before, like with CAULK and VIVID.
Wordle #258 turned basic (again) on the 4th of March, and a couple of players just couldn't put their finger on AHEAD until the last or last but one try. Generally anything from and below 3/6 is considered a good Wordle day and here's someone's frustration at 5/6. They got it, nevertheless, but paid for it.
Wordle #219 - Wordle Makes Intellect Seem Small
Wordle pretty much crushed people's ambitions on a cold January morning. It was January 24th and it seemed like a wonderful day and anything was possible until KNOLL showed up.
Relatively obscure compared to some other Wordles, KNOLL was so difficult it inspired this poem from @bradypoems, illustrating their frustrations. Sometimes knowing the Wordle is hard can make it easier, but the game that day pretty much had people screaming from the inside and conspiring all kinds of theories about the ones who got it right.
Wordle #256 - Wordle Gets NASTY
March 2nd was not a very pleasant day either. Wordle got NASTY and so did the players. However, this day's Wordle was a lot less impossible than VIVID and not to forget CAULK. It was a simple, everyday word - but one that some players still had a hard time figuring out.

The reason why some players were hilariously enraged is that they were losing patience for the game's ridiculous ability to make them feel and seem dumb. While there were people cursing the game on this fateful day, there were some who leveraged it so much, they made their own punchlines - hilarious punchlines!
Wordle #270 - Wordle Serves it Cold
Even celebs like to try their hand at Worlde - but sometimes even they can't quite make it to the finish line. Wordle #270, on March 16th, had many players staring at their phones in frustration.
CATER was the word of the day and an unbelievable number of players didn't get it right. Most players got four green blocks and the first block was wrong until the last try. It's definitely the hardest Wordle so far and if players are feeling frustrated with this recent word there are always Wordle-like alternative games to try out instead.
Wordle #204 - Narrowing Attempts
Nobody likes to be told they're stupid and Wordle is unfortunately a game that does that to so many players daily. Some players, unfortunately, feel this way every day, while, for some, it's an occasional loss.
This Twitter user may or may not have had a streak at stake, but he was done with Wordle on March 4th. Many players somehow got GORGE right, some didn't. It was probably not as tough as the disasters Wordle's capable of. But, this Tweet seems to be dedicated to all the times that Wordle was a pain. Wordle #255 - That's One Way to Look at it
Currencies are not everyone's top subject and neither is Wordle. When times get tough, sometimes Wordle players need a little bit of lighthearted fun instead - which is exactly what @SSAS1129 provided with their charming art.
RUPEE got on many nerves on March 1st and this player seemed to be done with Wordle, but they teach an important lesson about perspective. The losing Wordle board that ended up in an X/6 may have been heartbreaking, but they saw the bright side and decided to make a cute little heart pattern.
