The full schedule for WonderCon 2019 is revealed, and it includes panels for Dark Phoenix, the Child's Play remake, and Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone. It's hard to imagine now, but fan conventions weren't always the big deal they are currently. The con scene used to be mostly for diehard fans, that was until San Diego Comic-Con was reinvented into a massive pop culture enterprise. Since then, there seems to be more and more cons of importance taking hold, and offering fans the chance to see exclusive material from upcoming films and TV shows.

Second to San Diego Comic-Con when it comes to profile is New York Comic Con, although events like CCXP in Brazil are also rapidly expanding. Another on the list of fast-growing pop culture conventions is WonderCon, held every year in Anaheim, California. A version of WonderCon has been taking place since 1987 - originally being held in San Francisco - but the event didn't really become a major happening until more recent years.

WonderCon 2019 unfolds from March 29 through March 31, and WonderCon's official website has now released the full schedule of panels and presentations set to take place, including for several hot movies and shows set to arrive on the pop culture landscape this year. The three biggest guns in attendance will be FOX's quite possibly final X-Men movie Dark Phoenix, Orion Pictures' Child's Play remake, and CBS All Access' Twilight Zone revival. Keep in mind that all panel times are in PST. Dark Phoenix's panel is being held on Friday, March 29 at 3:15pm, while Child's Play's is on Saturday, March 30 at 6pm. Twilight Zone's is slightly earlier on Saturday, at 4pm.

Dark Phoenix's panel will include a Q&A with the filmmakers and members of the cast, along with a presentation of exclusive footage. The Child's Play panel is said to be much the same setup, although a "special announcement" is being teased. One wonders if that will be the reveal of Chucky's new voice, as Brad Dourif declined to return for this remake. The Twilight Zone panel will focus on adapting the classic Rod Serling series for a modern audience, and also include producers and writers of the revival. It would be nice if who exactly will be in attendance was being spelled out, but it isn't as of yet.

Other notable TV shows set to receive the WonderCon spotlight include AMC's Zachary Quinto-fronted Joe Hill adaptation NOS4A2, Fear the Walking Dead, The Big Bang Theory, The Tick, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and YouTube's Karate Kid sequel series Cobra Kai. Fan-favorite sequel Back to the Future Part II will also be the subject of a 30th anniversary retrospective, although it doesn't sound like the cast will be in attendance.
