From her iconic (yet dated) Golden Age costume, "new" mod suit of the late '70s, '90s biker look, and her Rebirth-era armor, the hero has worn many different looks. In a new piece of cover art from W. Scott Forbes, Wonder Woman's armor gets another new interpretation, as she hits the beach in a swimsuit costume that brings out the best in her past looks.

On his Twitter account, artist W. Scott Forbes (Wonder Girl) shared his new cover art for Wonder Woman #790 from DC Comics. The cover art features Wonder Woman in a swimsuit costume, as birds fly around her in the summer sun. The costume features mesh details on the chest, while gold details throughout. The swimsuit pays tribute to her original look with stars on the bottom part of the ensemble, while she keeps her tiara, and wears silver bracelets around her wrists. W. Scott Forbes explained that it was daunting drawing Wonder Woman for the first time considering the plethora of talent, including Joshua Middleton, Adam Hughes, and Jenny Frison, who have done their own amazing takes on the hero. He shared the three designs he pitched to DC Comics, which showcases the swimsuit costume had a visor tiara at one point. Forbes admitted he was glad they stuck with the traditional version for the cover art.

Ultimately, W. Scott Forbes nailed the swimsuit costume for the cover art. The ensemble feels fresh while featuring design elements homaging Wonder Woman's original look, making for a fun piece that shows the hero getting some much-needed fun in the sun.
