Wonder Woman is one of the fiercest warriors in the DC Comics Universe, who never backs down from a fight no matter how powerful her opponent is. One of the best moments exemplifying her strength was when Diana Prince took on two powerful Kryptonians.

The New 52 was a weird time for Wonder Woman. While there definitely some excellent stories being written starring the character, the continuity featured her in a relationship with Superman that didn't always feel right. The two starred in their own series, where Diana came face-to-face with General Zod and Faora. With her mother Hippolyta, who conceived Diana in an affair with Zeus, being turned to stone by Hera, Wonder Woman confides in her statue about her troubles with Superman living a second life as Clark Kent. Meanwhile, General Zod and Faora crash on Earth, and she is messaged by the Justice League to help him sort out the madness.

The conflict in Superman/Wonder Woman #5 by Charles Soule, Tony S. Daniel, Matt Banning, and Sandu Florea is considerable. Superman tries his best to take down Zod and Faora, but he struggles as he's hit with heat blasts and kicked around by Zod. As Superman puts out a forest fire and continues to get smacked around, Diana shows up ready to battle. Wonder Woman has held her own against Gods and massive cosmic threats, but still, Zod and Faora are extremely powerful Kryptonians. Despite taking on two superpowered aliens, Diana does a masterful job. She deflects Zod and hits him with his own heat rays, gives him a swift-kicking to the face, and burns Faora's face with her still-heated sword.

Superman Wonder Woman

As Superman struggles to make a dent into his fellow Kryptonians, Wonder Woman absolutely pulverizes them with her pure strength and cunning warrior skills. Diana was about to take down Faora, however, Superman ends up in a chokehold from Zod which forces her to let the villain go. It might have been his emotions, but Superman couldn't keep up with Zod or Faora. If he even fought half as well as Wonder Woman, they could have won the battle. Alas, Superman forced Wonder Woman to stop the fight.

Perhaps, if Superman had the fighting ability of Wonder Woman, he could actually take out his fellow Kryptonians during this brawl. While the romance between Diana and Kal-El ultimately faded, in this case, partnering with Wonder Woman was the best thing he could have done - without her, he was toast.
