DC is all geared-up for an action-packed 2017. Some of the biggest DC characters will be joining forces in Justice League - but before then, Wonder Woman will give us our best look yet at Princess Diana and fully introduce the first live-action version of one of the most famous DC superheroes. While Gal Gadot's Diana Prince was introduced last year in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, her scene-stealing few moments were just a tease. Director Patty Jenkins will give audiences the full origin story for Diana as a superhero this year, while also exploring her mythical background.

In the past week, we've learned a lot about the movie thanks to our visit to the film's edit bay and interviews with the cast and crew. For fans hoping Wonder Woman will have its own unique vibe, rest assured that the movie will look quite different from BvS. Jenkins even teased fans that she's already got plans for more adventures with Diana Prince, should Wonder Woman become a sizable hit. Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the final Wonder Woman trailer that's due to arrive very soon (possibly this week).

In the meantime, Warner Bros. has released a new Wonder Woman promo aimed at Brazilian audiences. Given how much international ticket sales play into a film's success these days (and Brazil's increasing global dominance), it makes sense for WB to target the country specifically. While the promo doesn't offer any previously-unreleased footage, it does include an introduction by stars Gadot and Chris Pine. The pair detail the broad strokes of the Wonder Woman plot in the promo, firmly establishing that Pine's Steve Trevor is the first mortal man Diana has ever seen - and that his news of World War I is what inspires Diana to leave her home of Themyscira.

Chris Pine and Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman movie

Many fans are hoping to get a better look at the Wonder Woman villains, when the new trailer arrives. We saw Doctor Poison teased in the first trailer, but we've yet to encounter Ares. We now know the latter is the primary antagonist in the film, either pulling the strings of others or waiting in the wings for the final battle. Ares has already been confirmed thanks to a Wonder Woman toy leak, but seeing him in live-action will be another thing altogether. Either way, his inclusion may help DC solve their villain problem from previous DCEU films, by forcing Diana to combat the very concept of war.

Even as the final trailer countdown continues, we've continued to get new glimpses of Wonder Woman. There have been behind-the-scenes images pulling back the curtain on the film and even hinting at potential special cameos. There are also rumors that Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a role in Wonder Woman, which is something we could see teased in the new trailer - though such a cameo is more likely to be save for the movie itself. Either way, we should know for certain soon, as Wonder Woman is but a few months away from hitting theaters now.
