Lynda Carter shows off a familiar set of Wonder Woman bracelets in a new Twitter post. The Amazon princess is arguably one of the most popular superheroes ever created by DC. Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, hails from the island of Themysciraalthough she eventually leaves her home to venture out into the world. Wonder Woman makes up the DC Trinity, along with Superman and Batman.

Carter stepped into the role of Wonder Woman for the eponymous 1970s television series. While the show only ran for four years, it brought many key elements of Wonder Woman to life, from her invisible jet to her lasso of truth. Carter performed many of her own stunts and helped introduce Wonder Woman's iconic costume change spin to a generation of viewers. Most importantly, Carter's strong, feminist performance as the Amazon warrior helped solidify Wonder Woman as a feminist hero.

Carter has taken to Twitter to share an image of her posing with her Wonder Woman bracelets. Carter wears a face mask with the word "VOTE" emblazoned across the front, further reinforced by her caption about early voting in Arizona. She also has her arms crossed in a defensive position, which highlights Wonder Woman's golden bracelets. You can see Carter's photo - as well as her call to action - below:

Wonder Woman's iconic bracelets are far more than just a fashion statement; in fact, the bracelets are a key part of Diana's costume. Wonder Woman's bracelets are usually used defensively and have helped the warrior deflect everything from bullets to energy rays. Also, the bracelets have proven to be nearly indestructible and have held their own against most weapons. In Carter's 1975 Wonder Woman series, it was also revealed that the bracelets are made from a proprietary material called feminum. That being said, it's always fun to see Carter break out her old Wonder Woman gear - especially since this photo-op is for a great cause.

More recently, Gal Gadot has taken on the role of Wonder Woman within the DCEU, with Wonder Woman 1984 set to release later this year, despite multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, few can forget Carter's incredible portrayal of Wonder Woman, even if four decades have passed. As such, while Carter may no longer be Wonder Woman, it's clear that she's still using her platform for good - and her call to action would no doubt make the Amazon princess extremely proud.
