Gal Gadot is set to make her debut within Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe as Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, after her appearance with the other two members of the 'Holy Trinity' - Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman (Ben Affleck) and Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman (Henry Cavill) - Diana will star in her own standalone feature.
Since production began, both Gadot as Diana and Chris Pine as her love interest Steve Trevor have been seen in set photos from Wonder Woman, typically dressed in costumes from the film's World War I setting. Now, Gadot has been spotted with a different fellow cast member, Lucy Davis, perhaps confirming her role in the DC Comics feature.
New set photos from Trafalgar Square in London show Gadot and Davis at what appears to be a post-war rally, with signs confirming WWI has ended. Additionally, though many speculated Davis would be playing DC Comics character Etta Candy when she was first cast, these images seem to confirm that theory given Davis' costume and red hair as well as her characters' apparent friendship with Diana. Take a look at the set photos:

Patty Jenkins (Monster) is directing Wonder Woman from a script by Jason Fuchs (Holy Rollers). As for the cast, Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) will play Diana's mother Hippolyta. She's joined by Gadot, Pine, Davis, Robin Wright (House of Cards), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans), Ewan Bremmer (Snowpiercer), and Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) - all except Gadot Pine, and Nielsen in officially undisclosed roles.
Etta Candy was first introduced in the DC Comics in the 1940s as woman with a penchant for candy that becomes Wonder Woman's best friend after being saved by the heroine. She's appeared in a variety of different Wonder Woman stories - sometimes as the romantic interest for Steve Trevor when he wasn't the love interest for Diana herself - with her most recent appearance in The Legend of Wonder Woman series. However, her original character design included the red hair and pin curls as seen on Davis in the set photos from Wonder Woman.
Of course, without official confirmation from the production, Davis playing Etta Candy is largely speculation. But, given the similarities between Davis' costume and Etta's original character design along with Etta's comic history with both Diana and Steve, it certainly seems more plausible than ever that Davis will play Etta Candy in Wonder Woman. However, whether that proves to be true remains to be seen until we receive confirmation from Warner Bros. or DC.
