Although the first movie set within Warner Bros DC Comics Extended Universe was Zack Snyder's Man of Steel in 2013, the director's 2016 followup, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, launched the cinematic superhero world in earnest. The film introduced a number of heroes to the DCEU, all of which will return later this year in Justice League, with many receiving solo entries later on down the line. However, before DC Comics' famous superhero team suits up, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman.

Gadot was a fan-favorite from Batman V Superman - along with Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) - and Wonder Woman will depict the superhero's backstory as she leaves her home of Themyscira to venture into the world with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) during World War I. The film will give fans more insight into Diana's origins and her life among the Amazonians, who are ruled by Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen). Warner Bros revealed the first trailer for Wonder Woman during Comic-Con International in San Diego last summer, with a second arriving late last year. Now, it appears the third trailer for Wonder Woman will debut this weekend.

Nickelodeon aired a promo for the Kids' Choice Awards that previewed exclusive footage from Wonder Woman - in addition to fellow big summer blockbusters Transformers: The Last Knight and Power Rangers. Additionally, Nickelodeon confirmed Gadot and Pine will appear at the awards show, which airs Saturday March 11 at 8pm ET.

Since Nickelodeon didn't specify whether their exclusive promo will be a trailer or clip, it's possible the network will debut some of the Wonder Woman footage recently screened for press, which included two scenes from the film. That said, since a Wonder Woman trailer has been rated and not yet released, it's more likely Gadot and Pine will present the third official trailer while at the Kids' Choice Awards. Or, as has been the case with other TV trailer premieres, Nickelodeon may air an abbreviated version of the new trailer, which will then debut in its entirety online.

No matter whether Nickelodeon debuts a new trailer or clip from Wonder Woman, fans of the DCEU will be eager to see what it contains. Last year's entries in Warner Bros' superhero universe - Batman V Superman and David Ayer's Suicide Squad - were largely derided by critics and received a decidedly mixed reception from moviegoers, though both were successful in terms of their box office earnings. As a result, many are looking to Wonder Woman to be the first critically well received entry in the DCEU, so fans will no doubt be hoping to learn all they can from new footage when it debuts this weekend.
