WARNING Spoilers For Wonder Woman #768 Below

For most, crossing paths with mercenary Slade Wilson (aka Deathstroke) would result in a death sentence. The villain holds a questionable moral compass, and does not hold back when it comes to getting a job done. However, if there is one DC hero that can stand their own against the killer, it would be Wonder Woman.

Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman) requires little introduction. As a demigod and founding member of the Justice League, the Amazonian princess can take on any evil villain that stands in her way. However, in Wonder Woman #768, the hero finds herself in an especially precarious situation; she is the Deathstroke's most recent target.

Following the murder of the infamous Maxwell Lord inside his prison cell, Wonder Woman must team up with best friend Etta Candy in order to track down this mystery killer. However, the hunt won't be easy, as Deathstroke himself follows closely behind them. With a dangerous assassin on their trail, Diana will have to work hard in order to not wind up his latest victim.

Deathstroke fights Wonder Woman in Death Stroke Godkiller

If history is any indication, Deathstroke should be no match for Wonder Woman. She has proven herself to be superior to the villain in comics past. Fans of the hero will be placing the highest faith in Diana's abilities, as she has already shown she can defeat Slade, but Deathstroke fans know it can't be that simple. His reputation was not earned overnight. As, Deathstroke will stop at nothing to terminate his target, the king of bounty killers would never go down without a fight.

Still, it is hard to imagine he can defeat Wonder Woman with pure strength and agility alone. The hero's power level is far superior, which is likely why he has been known to keep his distance. Yet, the fact that he has not targeted her much in the past goes to show just how crucial this fight must be. To seek her out, the reason for wanting her dead must be so important that he is willing to walk into a match he knows will be nearly impossible. In the past, he has been known to hold back from time to time. While his morals are few and far between, Slade usually does not kill for the sake of killing. To purposefully find himself against Wonder Woman means he is willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top.

Regardless, any fight involving Slade Wilson is not without danger. With a wildly powerful hero and unnervingly unpredictable villain, this match up is sure to be a close one.
