Villains We Want to See in Wonder Woman 2

Eclipso possesses the Justice League and the Teen Titans

Another dark god who could challenge Wonder Woman, Eclipso has often been a menace for the Justice League and the entire DC Universe. Eclipso is a malevolent entity who once represented the Wrath of God. Banished from Heaven, Eclipso uses black diamonds to bond with human hosts - primarily a scientist named Bruce Gordon. With the black diamonds, Eclipso can possess humans and bring out the darkest aspects of their hearts and desires. He has the physical attributes of a god, but Eclipso is also vulnerable to direct sunlight, admittedly a fairly easy weakness to exploit, but one with an obvious metaphor ripe for cinema.

With Wonder Woman learning in her World War I adventure that humans aren't always good, and that we have flaws in our very nature, Eclipso is an ideal villain to shed (black) light on the weaknesses inherent in humans, and to continue to explore what defending humanity means for Diana.

Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage and the Religion of Crime

Like Diana Prince, Vandal Savage is a fellow immortal being, who has walked the Earth since his days as a caveman. Vandal Savage has seen numerous civilizations and their gods rise and fall over the course of the millennia he's been alive. Savage also was the first human ever to commit murder, making him the inspiration for the Biblical Cain. Throughout his eternal life, Vandal Savage has sought to dominate the world, and he's been a major threat to the DC Universe across all media, including the Justice League Unlimited cartoon and DC's Legends of Tomorrow in The CW's Arrowverse. There's no doubt Vandal Savage would have a keen interest in manipulating or outright destroying Wonder Woman, as well as the Justice League, if given the cinematic opportunity.

The Female Furies

The forces of Darkseid are set to plague the Justice League and Earth, but more than hordes of Parademons reside on the planet Apokolips. The evil New Gods' greatest warriors are a battalion of women known as the Female Furies. Think of them as ultra violent alien versions of Diana's own Amazons. Trained by Darkseid's remorseless drill sergeant Granny Goodness, there have been several Female Furies with colorful names including Big Barda (who defected when she married the New God Scott Free, Mr. Miracle), Lashina, Mad Harriet, Stompa, and Bloody Mary. Wonder Woman has faced the Female Furies in the comics and in animation, and they always relish a chance to defeat the Amazon Princess in battle.

Thor Wonder Woman

Okay, now this is a long shot, but Gal Gadot and Chris Hemsworth started it, and it doesn't hurt to dream. As Wonder Woman began breaking box office records, Gal Gadot made a friendly challenge to Chris Hemsworth on Twitter, and Hemsworth immediately and diplomatically admitted that Wonder Woman "would kick Thor's a**!" But Gadot wants to see the God of Thunder and the Amazon Princess do battle - and frankly so do we! If this epic battle between Wonder Woman and Thor were ever to happen, the whole world would certainly scream "YESSSSS!"
