A new image from Wonder Woman 1984 teases a fight between Diana Prince and Cheetah set in the White House. Wonder Woman 1984 is the highly anticipated sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the first film was a critical and commercial success. The sequel will feature the return of fan favorite Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) despite the character sacrificing himself at the end of Wonder Woman. The new movie will also introduce fans to the comics villain Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), as well as businessman Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal).

Fans already know quite a lot about what to expect in Wonder Woman 1984, partly thanks to its changing release dates. At this point, the film has been moved four times, with an original release date of December 13, 2019. Thanks to a recent delay due to the coronavirus, Wonder Woman 1984 is now scheduled for August 14, 2020. Though there was some speculation the movie could be released to streaming, returning director Jenkins was quick to reassure fans Wonder Woman 1984 would get a theatrical release, explaining last month, "We made Wonder Woman 1984 for the big screen and I believe in the power of cinema."

Thanks to a recent Empire magazine spread, fans have seen detailed looks at Diana's costumes in the upcoming film, as well as a close up view of her golden wings. Now, Acting Editor Nick de Semlyen shares a new image of Diana and Cheetah fighting in what looks to be the White House. In the photo, Diana can be seen using her Lasso of Truth, though Cheetah seems to be deflecting it. The White House has been shown in stills and teaser footage for Wonder Woman 1984 before, suggesting it will be a key part of the film. Take a look at the Diana vs. Cheetah fight below:

One of the movie's biggest mysteries has been what Cheetah's final form will look like. Though fans have seen plenty of photos with Kristen Wiig in character, DC has been careful not to release any giving away her final transformation. There have been clues here or there, including a since-deleted toy leak suggesting a comic-accurate costume. A LEGO set featuring Cheetah implied the same. It's unknown at this time if fans will see her complete transformation ahead of time, or if they'll have to wait until the movie releases in August.

Even though a White House fight in Wonder Woman 1984 has been teased before, it's still interesting to see a photo of Diana and Cheetah fighting. They look to be evenly matched, with Diana perhaps struggling more than Cheetah in this particular moment. The role of Cheetah is a departure for Wiig, who hasn't been in an action movie of this magnitude before. However, given this photo and other promotional materials already released, it looks like she'll more than hold her own against Gadot's Wonder Woman.
