Kristen Wiig's final Cheetah look for DC's Wonder Woman 1984 may have been revealed. Joining Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot's upcoming Warner Bros. superhero film, Wiig is set to play the narrative's primary antagonist, Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah.

Not much is known regarding the narrative specifics for Wonder Woman 1984 thus far, although a few promotional videos and posters have already been rolled out, giving the public an idea about what it's all about. As the title suggests, the story will take place in the '80s - during the height of the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Despite his fate in Wonder WomanChris Pine is also returning as Steve Trevor. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal will take on the role of Maxwell Lord. Initially set to release on November 2019, the project was pushed back to June 2020. As its release date slowly nears, Warner Bros. is starting to ramp up its marketing machine for the much-anticipated sequel. And fans' first look at Cheetah in the movie may have been revealed.

Instagram user with the handle ww_collector_news shared an image of the fully-transformed Cheetah from Wonder Woman 1984. The source claims that this is the image used in a Trends International poster for the film.

Wonder Woman 84 Cheetah Poster Costume

Prior to this reveal, the official Wonder Woman 1984 posters debuted Wiig's Minerva in her cheetah costume. However, she was basically wearing civilian clothes in varying versions of a print which was understandably disappointing for fans. Then again, the decision to hold back the reveal of her final form as Cheetah makes sense. Perhaps Warner Bros. is saving it for the trailer, or maybe even the movie itself. Admittedly, people are split on this latest image. Some point out how this could be mistaken as a character from the critically-panned Cats film, while others seem to be okay with it. In any case, considering that Jenkins is really leaning on the '80s vibe for the sequel, this somehow fits the aesthetic of that era.

It's worth noting, however, that this isn't confirmed to be the final look of Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984. In fact, there's no word yet if this is even in the movie. As the source said, it's from a poster he bought from a shop. However, others claim the image is being used for other tie-in products for the movie as well. If anything, this sounds like art that Warner Bros. will use on merchandise for the DCEU blockbuster. Given that, it's best to hold off final judgment until there's any official release from the studio, possibly through a trailer. Sometimes, it's difficult to appreciate comic book costumes on one-sheets like this. Everyone should be able to see how it will actually translate on the screen before writing it off.
