It is common for Wolverine to say that he's the best at what he does. In Wolverine: First Class #6the titular hero reveals what he thinks he does best, and his perceived version isn't what fans may have initially expected. Logan takes his downtime just as seriously as he does his foes.

Wolverine is one of Marvel's most fierce heroes and he's one of the best - and most powerful - X-Men. He is as popular as he is for a reason. He's fearsome, strong, and he doesn't run from fights. Wolverine's protective of young mutants and is always willing to put himself on the line for his mutant family. However, don't get in the way of his television when important hockey games are on.

Wolverine: First Class #6 (2008) has the creative team of Fred Van Lente, Salva Espin, Chris Sotomayor, and Rus Wooton. While many of the X-Men are away to visit with Banshee and Dr. MacTaggert, Logan wants to stay in to catch game seven of the Stanley Cup finals, supporting the Calgary Flames whose jersey he wears. This leaves him in charge of a few mutant kids, who he's more than happy to leave to their own devices for the evening. Unfortunately, things rarely go so smoothly where the X-Men are involved, and Logan finds his game interrupted.

The girls (Kitty Pryde, Siryn, Amp, and Illyana) decide to take a look at the Danger Room, despite it being locked and off-limits. They activate it, powering up some robotic foes, which they quickly lose track of. Unfortunately, these robots get loose from the Danger Room and get in the way of Wolverine's television, causing him to angrily reveal what he thinks he does best: watch hockey, when he wants, for as long as he wants. The reason? "It's my moral right as a Canadian." When the kids wreck Wolverine's ability to watch his game, he freaks out and goes into a rage - but an intervention from Amp reveals what he's actually best at.

When Amp expresses frustration with Siryn and Kitty's romantic rivalry due to her appearance and inability to pass for human, Wolverine reveals what he's truly best at: being supportive in any situation necessary. He reassures Amp that she's beautiful and someone will see it someday. When Xavier and the other X-Men return home, they're excited about the game, only to find Logan sitting with Amp fast asleep with no game on. While watching hockey is definitely fun and game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals isn't something to take lightly, Wolverine shows that his support has tiers of prioritization. Some nights he'll be supporting his sports team, while on nights when he's most needed, he'll be supporting his home team of mutant youth and peers. For being such a fearsome fighter, Wolverine truly has a heart of gold.
