Wolf Pack is in an excellent position to flip Sarah Michelle Gellar's most iconic character. Known for her celebrated role as TV and horror icon Buffy Summers, Gellar is a series regular on Paramount+'s Wolf Pack, a new werewolf series from the creator of the Teen Wolf reboot, Jeff Davis.

Introduced in Wolf Pack episode 1, Gellar's character is Kristin Ramsey, a police investigator with an unknown agenda. From the looks of things, Ramsey will be one of the adult, human characters who gets involved in the werewolf action taking place in the series. And though her investigation has only just begin, she's already contacted Armani Jackson's Everett Lang and delivered a startling message sure to ignite his suspicions going forward. Exactly where she fits into the story is unclear, but her warning serves as setup for the mystery that drive the story of Wolf Pack's first season.

Wolf Pack Should Make Sarah Michelle Gellar's Character The Villain

Sarah Michelle Gellar as an investigator in Wolf Pack

Having played the titular protagonist of a show that has since become a staple of the horror genre, Gellar is obviously a very special addition to Wolf Pack's cast. Because of that connection, there's naturally a desire from some to see Gellar shine in a role reminiscent of her Buffy the Vampire Slayer character. However, making Gellar play an older, more mature Buffy prototype isn't necessarily the best option it can take with the actress. Due to the expectations that come with her previous work, revealing Ramsey is secretly a villain could make for a shocking development.

The implication of Wolf Pack episode 1's ending is that she has the potential to be an ally to Everett, but that could just be a misdirect. It's not impossible that Ramsey, who may be manipulating him, is the true antagonist of the story. Like Buffy, she might be a monster hunter, but Wolf Pack could go further with that reveal by utilizing her as an evil monster hunter. If the show takes this route, it can make Sarah Michelle Gellar's character the opposite of her Buffy the Vampire Slayer heroine. Gellar playing a character who's different to Buffy on such a fundamental level - but equally nuanced - would be a fun twist for Wold Pack to offer, and one that could work out well for the show in the long run.

Wolf Pack Is Already Teasing That Ramsey Knows About The Werewolves

Reinforcing the notion that Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ramsey might be a villain is the mystery element to her character in the series. Though she's presumably a human, she seems to know more than what one would expect from a typical arson investigator. Somehow, she's "certain" that the person who caused the fire is a teenager, but doesn't explain how she could have this knowledge. For that reason, it's likely that there's more to Gellar's Wolf Pack character than what meets the eye. With that in mind, viewers - and the teenagers - would be right to be skeptical of Ramsey's motivations in Wolf Pack.
