The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley will host a live broadcast this week for The Wolf Among Us 2. Fans of the noir mystery have long awaited the release of a second season, which the original Telltale Games announced during SDCC 2017. Telltale's shuttering in late 2018 effectively shattered hopes of Bigby Wolf's return, but The Wolf Among Us 2 reemerged at the 2019 Game Awards. Since then, however, very little has been shown of the sequel.

Fortunately, the crew at Telltale Games recruited some help for Bigby and Co's next big adventure. In re-revealing The Wolf Among Us 2 in December 2019, the company confirmed that developers from AhHoc Studio had jumped on board to see the project through to completion. Former Telltale staffers who played a key role in the first Wolf Among Us season founded AdHoc Studio in early 2019, meaning Telltale's partners on the sequel know a thing or two about the folks of Fabletown. Still, details remain scarce, barring recent information regarding The Wolf Among Us 2's setting, which takes place six months after the events of Season 1.

Yesterday, February 7, Geoff Keighley took to Twitter (via IGN) to announce his participation in an upcoming stream for The Wolf Among Us 2. The Keighley-hosted broadcast will go live on Wednesday, February 9 at 10:00 AM PT on Twitch and YouTube. According to the host, those who tune in can expect to receive a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the long-in-development project. Information regarding how long the stream will last and what exactly Telltale Games plans to showcase presently remains a mystery.

To the delight of many, the exceedingly long wait to learn more about The Wolf Among Us 2 will soon come to a close. Hopefully, even the smallest teases of gameplay will take center stage at some point, since The Wolf Among Us 2 uses Unreal Engine and has yet to be shown in action. Telltale Games confirmed the technology shift in 2019, noting that ditching the old Telltale Tool engine allowed the crew to restart production from scratch.

Adapted from Bill Willingham's Eisner award-winning Fables comic series, The Wolf Among Us' first season began releasing episodically in October 2013. Over the course of five critically-acclaimed episodes, players followed Fabletown Sheriff Bigby Wolf as he worked with allies like Snow White to unmask a killer responsible for a string of grisly murders. The fifth and final episode of the season ended on a cliffhanger that continues to garner discussion among the series faithful.
