All that being said, it's important to review each major company's flagship phone so that even the least tech-savvy people can make an educated decision when it comes to their technology. Everyone knows about the iPhone, but there are so many other great phones out there that are worth considering when investing in a new product.

Nokia 9 PureView

The Nokia has been an iconic brand for many decades, but most people don't know about their smartphones that can do a lot more than their 1990s phone models. The Nokia 9 PureView has a  5.99" edge-to-edge pOLED QHD with a 2k display, which is still a little smaller than most smartphones.

Not to mention, it has a Snapdragon 845 processor, which is not the highest-powered processor on the market, but it gets the job done. The phone also has several camera lenses, which help add depth to photos and videos. The Nokia 9 PureView is a great start, but there's so much more out there.

Cat S62

The Cat S62 is actually made by Caterpillar, the company that also makes construction equipment, and it has everything that a smartphone needs and more. Not only does this device's 12-megapixel camera take thermally accurate photos, but it also is one of the most durable phones on the market.

This phone is dustproof and waterproof up to 5 feet. Not to mention, while it doesn't have the same processing power as other high-quality smartphones, it's great for someone that drops their phone constantly and it is made for people that do tough outdoor work. It also is competitively priced at around $500.

This phone is around $730, which is a little expensive, but it does have a Snapdragon 888 processor and an OLED screen. All this being said, the biggest qualm that most people have with this phone is how bulgy the cameras are, which is a small cosmetic issue.

Sony Xperia 5 III

Though the Sony Xperia 5 III has been out since August 2021, this phone will stay as the flagship smartphone for the company for 2022. The phone has a 6.1" screen with 8 Gigabytes of RAM and 128 Gigabytes of storage.

This smartphone also has the Snapdragon 888 processor and runs the updated Android 11 operating system. While this processing power uses a lot of battery, the phone actually has 10 full hours of battery life with fast charging capabilities. The only big downside is that the phone is on the pricier side and costs around $900 new.

Huawei P50

The Huawei P50 is a highly coveted phone, however, right now it's only available in China. It is set to be released in other countries sometime in 2022, but right now the exclusivity of it just makes it all the more interesting. This phone also comes in a pocket version, which means it closes like a flip phone.

This phone is pretty competitive, as it has 128 gigabytes of storage, a Snapdragon 888 processor, and a 50-megapixel camera. The design of the Huawei P50 is extremely unique as well, with its 2 big camera circles and its option to have a detailed shell. This is clearly a great phone and it proves that sometimes Android phones can do things that Apple just can't yet.

The Edge 20 Pro's only set back is that it has a Snapdragon 870 processor compared to the more powerful Snapdragon 888 processor. However, it does have the Android 11 operating system, which is still relatively competitive in 2022.

Google Pixel 6

The Google Pixel 6 is an exciting phone made by one of the world's biggest tech companies, and so far it hasn't disappointed. Though Google has released other Pixels in the past, this phone is the best so far. The phone has an AMOLED screen, a Google Tensor processor, which is as competitive as the Snapdragon 888, and an Android 12 operating system.

This phone also has fast wireless charging capabilities just like the iPhone and is water and dust-resistant. It also has one of the sleekest designs of any smartphone and is just the right size to fit into any pocket. Because not many people have this phone in comparison to its biggest competitors, the Galaxy and the iPhone, it can also be a statement piece of sorts.

Samsung Galaxy S22

The Samsung Galaxy S22, which is a great affordable phone for gamers, is the brand's newest flagship device that has a 108-megapixel camera with AMD graphics and a processor that is newer and better than the Snapdragon 888. Overall this phone's main achievements come from its photo and video quality.

The phone is better priced than the Samsung Galaxy S21 upon its release and it definitely rivals the iPhone's efforts with their cameras. Overall, it's one of the best Android phones and it is made to do just as much as a computer does, which is amazing.

iPhone 13 Pro

It's difficult for any company to compete with Apple, and their iPhone 13 proves just that. It has a Retina display with longer battery life than previous iPhones and has a camera that will make nearly cinema-quality movies, which is hard to do on a cell phone. Not to mention, Apple has one of the most user-friendly operating systems out there. It's extremely intuitive and easy to use for people of any age.

This phone's highlight really is its camera, because Apple has already mastered everything else. With a water-resistant build and a shatter-proof ceramic shield that is tougher than any other smartphone's glass, the iPhone stays one of the most competitive and impressive phones on the market.
