The Witcher fans can prepare for the upcoming WitcherCon event by 3D printing their own official wolf's head medallion. The Witcher game developer CD Projekt Red and Netflix have teamed up for the online event, which will be the first of its kind for the series. While the showcase will feature lots of good things for fans of the franchise, it's been confirmed no new Witcher game will be revealed.

WitcherCon promises to be an epic celebration of the entire Witcher franchise, including sneak peeks at the upcoming season two of Netflix's The Witcher. Series stars including Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri) will be speaking to host Julia Hardy in a series of panels, along with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Geralt of Rivia himself, Henry Cavill, will also be rounding out the event with moderator Josh Horowitz, in a panel entitled "Tales from the White Wolf." As well as shining a spotlight on the new Netflix season, CD Projekt Red will have two talks: "Memories from the Path: Stories behind The Witcher games," and "The Witcher: Beyond Video Games". The full WitcherCon schedule is available online.

Those wanting to watch WitcherCon in style can do so by 3D printing their own wolf's head medallion ahead of the event. The official Twitter page for The Witcher has shared 3D printing files for fans to create their own version of Geralt's iconic Witcher medallion. Anyone with access to a 3D printer will be able to use the free files to print a surprisingly detailed and accurate model medallion. The model even includes a loop so it can be worn as jewelry, just like Geralt's. The files can be accessed here, with a size of five centimeters recommended for the best outcome.

Those without a 3D printer can still rejoice with a range of new Witcher merchandise, including a recently-announced Geralt statue from Dark Horse. The incredibly detailed figure shows Geralt and Roach mid-battle, with supreme attention to detail as the Witcher casts Aard at an unseen foe. The statue includes both Geralt's wolf's head medallion and a bloody wolf's head. Dark Horse notes the 13" statue is the first deluxe figurine of its kind and is available for pre-order now.

While gamers won't see a new game during WitcherCon, 2021 has lots for Witcher fans to look forward to. Season two of Netflix's The Witcher doesn't yet have an official release date, but it's hoped to be coming later this year. Season one released in December 2019, and while production quickly began on season two in 2020, it faced multiple delays due to the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red is planning to release new-generation PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt later this year. Upgrades will be free for players who already own the game. There could be more surprises revealed during WitcherCon, with the first event starting July 9 at 10 a.m. PT.
