According to an image shared on Reddit, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may appear in the next PlayStation Now lineup. Since its subscription price drop in fall 2019, which brought the monthly cost down to $9.99, PS Now has continued to improve drastically. Some would even argue the service is slowly starting to compete with Xbox Game Pass in terms of value.

This year alone has seen the PlayStation service stack up more than a few notable heavy hitters. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 joined the lineup in February, followed by the addition of World War Z and Ace Combat 7 in March. April warrants recognition as a solid month for PS Now as well, thanks to Sony's ability to secure the likes of Marvel's Avengers and Borderlands 3. May proved a strong month in its own right, as Nioh 2, Jump Force, and Streets of Rage 4 entered the PlayStation Now family. There's reason to believe June will provide similarly promising experiences.

As noted by Push Square, Reddit user jcsce shared a screenshot of The Witcher 3's GOTY edition on PlayStation Now's homepage. The Redditor says they were unable to click on or play the title, but it seems the listings may have simply gone up a few days early. This much is evidenced by the appearance of Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Mania, and Sonic Forces in the very same screenshot, which jcsce captured hours before Sega's Sonic Central stream yesterday afternoon. During the Sonic-centric broadcast, Sega announced that all three of the aforementioned titles will come to PS Now on June 1. It, thus, seems as though The Witcher 3 may soon hit the streaming service, too.

As of now, there's no word on when exactly Sony will announce the June 2021 PlayStation Now lineup. The company typically waits until the start of the month to unveil the list of new additions. However, since the aforementioned Sonic titles and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown are already confirmed for the service on June 1, Sony may find it prudent to announce next month's offerings a littler earlier than usual.

Those who already own The Witcher 3 have something to look forward to at the end of the year, as well. In an earnings call in April, CD Projekt Red disclosed that free PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades for the beloved RPG will launch in the second half of 2021. The upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 should also go live around the same time.
