Winnie The Pooh is one of the greatest and most wholesome franchises of all time. The stories are charming and whimsical, and the movies and TV series that Disney has created over the years have brought them to life in a fun manner, showing the varied personalities and kind souls of the characters well. Each character has its flaws and positives, which is why the movies are so good at teaching moral lessons.

While there's no such thing as a bad character within the world of Hundred Acre Wood, there's no doubt that there are certain characters that have proven to be more popular than others. But which is the greatest?

Gopher

Gopher is quite an underrated character when it comes to the world of Winnie The Pooh, mainly because he's not often seen as one of the core members of the gang. Because of that, he isn't one of the best characters, but when it comes to the supporting cast, he's certainly one of the best.

Gopher will just pop up randomly at times, bringing some great one-liners to the stories which help to make him quite a memorable character. He is honest and hardworking, and someone who is very easy to like.

Christopher Robin

Christopher Robin himself is obviously one of the most important characters within this series, and as Pooh's best friend, he does bring a lot to the movies. However, while the world comes from his imagination, audiences are most interested in watching the characters that inhabit that rather than Christopher himself.

When he does appear, Christopher is often the one that brings great moral lessons, trying to teach Pooh and his friends about life. Because of that, he is someone who makes fans think, but he doesn't quite bring as much fun and excitement as others.

Rabbit

Rabbit is a popular character with some, and a hated character with others. The main problem with Rabbit is that he is grouchy, but he doesn't bring the same level of charm that Eeyore does with his grumpiness. Rabbit is often seen as the person bringing sensibility, dragging the rest of the group back down to reality.

It's rare that Rabbit wants to get involved in the adventures that the rest of the group has, and he always finds faults with things, which means he isn't as fun. However, Rabbit can be funny at times, and sometimes having a sensible member does prove to be useful.

Owl

Owl stands aside as Pooh is stuck in his door from eating too much honey.

Owl is one of the most eccentric characters within the Winnie The Pooh franchise, as he's someone who likes to tell crazy stories that most people often don't understand. He is someone who appears to be wise and helpful, but more often than not, he is just confusing others, which is what makes him so funny.

Owl has tons of personality, and the fact that he often doesn't get to finish his stories or gives people the wrong advice when he reads something normally creates some great moments, helping to make Owl iconic.

Roo

Roo is the youngest member of the Winnie The Pooh franchise and because of that, he brings tons of energy and a lot of naivety. Roo is always on the go and he always wants to be doing something, which has the potential to be a little annoying at times, but overall he is cute and fun.

Roo always wants to have an adventure and try new things, and the way he idolizes Tigger is nice to see. While Winnie The Pooh is quite a relaxed franchise, Roo is one of the characters that brings energy, and it helps to make him one of the best characters.

Tigger

Speaking of characters that bring energy, nobody is able to get to the level of Tigger. He brings nothing but excitement and joy to these movies, which is one of the reasons he is such a fantastic character. When it comes to the fun and comedy aspects, Tigger is able to deliver plenty of it.

He's someone who is a firm fan-favorite with many people, and it's easy to see why. While he can be a little over the top at points, and he often acts before he thinks which can lead to him needing help, his lust for adventure and life helps to make him great.

Kanga

The world of Winnie The Pooh is dominated by male characters, and that instantly makes Kanga stand out. She is technically the mother of Roo, but she really acts as the mother for all of the characters. She's strong and independent, and while she doesn't often head out on the big adventures, she is always there for them when they return.

Kanga is an excellent mom, and she often worries about all of them, as she has a huge heart that is open to trying to help as many of the characters as possible. She often brings some funny moments as well, but it is her caring nature that makes Kanga one of the best characters overall.

Eeyore

When it comes to family-friendly characters, they are typically over the top with excitement and happiness, bringing lots of energy to the movies. However, that is what helps to make Eeyore stand out, as his main personality trait is the fact that he is very grumpy.

Eeyore does care about others and tries to help out as much as possible, which helps to make him one of the best characters. But for older audiences, Eeyore is often the funniest member of this franchise, with his mopey comments being unintentionally hilarious.

Piglet

He might be a serious worrier and someone who questions everything, but that's all part of Piglet's charm. Piglet ends up having to overcome the most within all of the movies, because he is so scared of everything. But, that also helps him to teach others about bravery.

Piglet is one of the kindest and most trustworthy characters and is someone who will try his best in every adventure. His friendship with Pooh is the greatest within this franchise as well, and that all helps to make Piglet stand out as one of the best characters.

Winnie The Pooh

Could there really be anybody else in the top spot? While this franchise does a great job of giving time to every single character, there's no doubt that Winnie The Pooh himself is the central focus of it all. This cute bear is someone who is loyal and always wants to do his best for his friends, which are extremely likable traits.

His love for honey is something that audiences have come to enjoy, with Pooh doing whatever it takes to get his hands on the delectable treat. Pooh is a curious creature, happily asking as many questions as possible as he brings all of the heart and plenty of comedy to the movies, making him the best character overall.
