Microsoft is holding its next big event on June 24, and on that date, the company is expected to officially unveil Windows 11. For folks interested in watching the announcement live as it happens, doing so will be incredibly easy.

Although Microsoft hasn't explicitly said that Windows 11 will be present at its June 24 event, it's all but confirmed at this point. The event is happening at 11:00 AM on that date, the above teaser image shows the number '11' as a reflection underneath the Windows logo, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previously teased that the 'next generation of Windows' was coming soon. Combine that with the fact that an early build of Windows 11 has already leaked, and it's safe to say the upcoming OS will be the star of the show.

To watch Microsoft announce Windows 11 live, just visit the Windows Event page on the Microsoft website. The event kicks of at 11:00 AM ET / 8:00 AM PT on June 24, with the live stream likely beginning a few minutes prior so viewers can get settled in and ready for it to start. Furthermore, the live stream should work on just about any web browser. Whether someone is using Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc., they'll be able to tune in without a problem. Also, while Microsoft hasn't added a YouTube listing for the event yet, expect one to be available on or by June 24.

What To Expect From The Windows 11 Event

Windows 11 will clearly be Microsoft's focus for the event, but what about Windows 11 can folks look forward to? If the leaked build of the OS is anything to go off of, expect Microsoft to spend a lot of time talking about Windows 11's new user interface. Screenshots and videos have already revealed a heap of changes, including a centered taskbar, redesigned Start menu, an updated Files app, and plenty of smaller UI changes scattered throughout the entire operating system. It all looks like a rather big departure from Windows 10, and as such, Microsoft will want to make sure it digs into this new design language and explain why it made the changes it did.

Something else to keep an eye out for is a new Windows Store. While teasing the 'next generation of Windows' during Microsoft's developer conference in May, Nadella said, "we [Microsoft] will create more opportunity for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, and open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications." That strongly suggests a Windows Store update is one of the biggest focuses for Windows 11, and although the specifics of these changes remain unclear, it's bound to be a big talking point for Microsoft.

And that's about it! Considering Microsoft is clearly pitching this is a 'Microsoft Windows Event,' don't expect any announcements regarding Surface, Xbox, or any of the company's other projects. That's not to say there won't be additional Microsoft news later this year, but as far as June 24 is concerned, it should be a Windows-only affair.
