An all-new poster for the Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters has been released ahead of its October 11 premiere date. Based on Eric Kripke's long-running CW series Supernatural, The Winchesters follows John and Mary Winchester (Drake Rodger and Meg Donnelly) as they navigate their relationship together while also confronting the demons of their pasts - literally. While two other Supernatural spinoffs were attempted during the show's 15-year run, The Winchesters is the first spinoff to successfully have been picked up.

In a post from the official The Winchesters social media account, the series' first poster has been released. The image shows John and Mary standing in the middle of a demon's hands that are cupped in the shape of a heart. The poster calls the series "a supernatural love story," and puts the spotlight on its release date. Check out the image below:

While The Winchesters will follow in Supernatural's footsteps as a monster-hunting, demon-slaying genre series, the heart of the spinoff will be about John and Mary's young, budding relationship. Narrated by Jensen Ackles' Dean Winchester, Dean looks back on his parents' lives together before the birth of their children and the start of Supernatural. With The Winchesters trying to focus on exactly what the poster says - a supernatural love story - it's only fitting that the series' latest bit of marketing be as equally romantic as it is creepy. It sets the tone well for John and Mary's story, and also promises this will be a romance unlike any other.
