Every Supernatural Character In The Winchesters So Far

Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer in The Winchesters

Given its premise, the cast of The Winchesters includes several Supernatural characters. Drake Rodger and Meg Donnelly play younger versions of John and Mary, from a different world, and their parents also make appearances. But the show has also featured guest appearances by some of the original's famous angels and demons. Ruth Connell reprised her Rowena role; Richard Speight Jr. also came back as Loki. Although he didn't show up as his antagonistic Supernatural character Chuck, Rob Benedict appeared as Tango.

Unlike other attempts to spin off from Supernatural and expand the world, The Winchesters is not afraid to link back to its predecessor. If the series does get renewed, it will be interesting to see whether the prequel makes the decision to distinguish itself away from what came before or lean into it even more. By the finale, the story is settled: Dean believes that he helped John and Mary, providing them with his journal, and the next installment is mostly free to explore new avenues.

But at least, according to fans of The Winchesters, there are a few faces they would still like to see. Whether that happens depends on what The CW decides. But so far, the prequel has demonstrated an ability to bring back beloved characters in a way that feels organic and additive to the story, rather than simply checking a box and delivering fanservice.
