In a brand new video for Disney+ Day, Warwick Davis introduces the supporting cast of the Willow TV series. The original film Willow, which was directed by Ron Howard from a story by George Lucas, came out in 1988. It followed the adventures of Davis' title character, a farmer who is begrudgingly dragged on a fantasy adventure when he must protect a baby from an evil queen. Willow also starred Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley, Jean Marsh, and Billy Barty.

The Willow series will be following up on the film, over 30 years later. According to the plot synopsis, it will follow a princess who gathers a trusty team to rescue her twin brother, which will no doubt include an even more reluctant Willow. The series was developed by Wendy Mericle and Jonathan Kasdan, the son of George Lucas collaborator Lawrence Kasdan. Willow is currently filming in Brigend, Wales.

Disney+ and Lucasfilm put together a new video showing off the supporting cast of the series, hosted by Warwick Davis. The dryly funny video shows Davis making his way around a picnic table introducing the cast members and trading barbs about their names, how young they are, and whether or not Ron Howard will be narrating the series like he did in Arrested Development. The cast members included in the video are Dempsey Bryk, Amar Chadha-Patel, Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori, Ruby Cruz, and Erin Kellyman. Check out the video below:

Several of these faces will be familiar to fans of Disney properties. Tony Revolori, for one, has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Flash Thompson in the new trilogy of Spider-Man films. Erin Kellyman has also made an MCU appearance as Karli Morgenthau, the radical leader of the Flag-Smashers in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The others, though not Disney stalwarts, also have solid credits. Ruby Cruz can be seen in Mare of Easttown, Amar Chadha-Patel starred in the Jude Law miniseries The Third Day, Dempsey Bryk war in Netflix's The Silence (from Annabelle director John R. Leonetti), and Ellie Bamber was previously featured in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

While he is not featured in the video, The Witch's Ralph Ineson is set to appear in Willow as well. Overall, this new clip doesn't reveal much about the nature of the show, but it certainly shows off the chemistry of the cast. If the show carries even an ounce of the good-natured camaraderie depicted here, it will be an undoubted success, even if it can't capture the full scope of the original fantasy classic.
