BBC's Playground Insults Game once pitted Will Ferrell against Mark Wahlberg, but who emerged the victor? When thinking of famous onscreen comedy duos, pairings like Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, Laurel and Hardy or Jay & Silent Bob might spring to mind. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg aren't the most obvious choice, but the duo has starred in three movies together over the last decade, first teaming for 2010's The Other Guys and later for both Daddy's Home movies.

While Mark Wahlberg is best known for action movies or thrillers, he's shown with movies like Ted to have a good set of comic chops too. That's part of what made The Other Guys such a pleasant surprise, with he and Ferrell make for a very entertaining team. Neither entry in the Daddy's Home duology received warm reviews, but they did decent business financially and had Ferrell and Walhberg's chemistry to lean on.

The pair obviously get on quite well to have made three movies together, while a third Daddy's Home is also possible. Their friendship was put to the test when they appeared on BBC Radio 1's Playground Insults game in 2015, a game where host Scott Mills tasks two actors to come up with the wittiest - or nastiest - insults, with whoever cracks up first being the loser.

The Will Ferrell Vs Mark Wahlberg Playground Insults game starts relatively mild as the two get used to the format, but it's not long before Wahlberg is calling his opponent "A poor man's Mike Myers." Of course, it's hard to beat Ferrell's skill with improv and he serves a couple of ice-cold putdowns. One finds him saying that if he was stranded on a desert island and had a choice between eating a Wahlburger or a dead, raw fish, he'd opt for the latter. This put his Wahlberg on the ropes, but once Ferrell mentions New Kids On The Block calling to offer him a backup dancer role, he loses it completely.

New Kids On The Block famously featured Mark Wahlberg's brother Donnie (Blue Bloods), though the former was briefly a member too before the band hit big. The Will Ferrell Vs Mark Wahlberg Playground Insults game was a fun one, but it's not much of a shocker Ferrell was the victor. Plenty of other actors have faced off on this BBC Radio 1 game, including Will Smith and Margot Robbie while promoting Suicide Squad and Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin for Deadpool 2.
