The Wilds season 2 images reveal the second group of survivors for the series, this time made up of all teen boys as opposed to the first group of all girls that the first season followed. Nicholas Coombe, Zack Calderon, Aidan Laprete, Charles Alexander, Miles Guiterrez-Riley, Reed Shannon, Tanner Ray Rook, and Alex Fitzalan all join the ensemble making up the new group. The Wilds season 2 is expected to premiere on May 6 on Amazon Prime.

The Wilds follows a group of teen girls who are left trapped on a deserted island after a plane crash, unaware that they're part of a social experiment. The second group revealed in the final moments of the first season finale has also been on the island as part of the same experiment, though likely at a different time. The Wilds was renewed for a second season shortly after its premiere due to strong reviews and high streaming figures.

New images featured on Collider show the new cast members both before and after the crash, implying the series will continue with the flashback structure of the first season. The new images also feature the first group of survivors, but none of the pictures show the two groups interacting at all. Check out the images below:

The Wilds show season 2

The reveal at the end of the first season would suggest that the boys' time on the island takes place after the girls. Season 1 also showed the girls after being rescued, so these new images also confirm that season 2 will explore more of their time on the island beyond what was seen in the first season. The Wilds has the distinction of sharing a similar premise to the Showtime hit, Yellowjackets, despite The Wilds coming out almost a year earlier. Both shows have a The Lord of the Flies-like setting with a mostly female ensemble, punctuated by flash-forwards that take place after the main event. However, Yellowjackets is different for having a weekly release schedule that allows more time for fan theories and speculation, as opposed to The Wilds having all episodes available at once. However, there are no shortage of The Wilds theories out there surrounding the social experiment that led to their entrapment.

With The Wilds' season 2 on the way, audiences have more of the twisty character-based drama that made the first season so compelling. It will be interesting to see if/how the girls do eventually interact with the boys in season 2 and if any of them uncover the mysterious experiment. It's been a long wait since the season 1 finale episode, and hopefully, all lingering questions from that first part of the story will be addressed this May when The Wilds season 2 premieres.
