Warning: SPOILERS for The Wilds season 2.

The Wilds season 2 cast sees virtually everyone from season 1 return in addition to a new slate of boys taking part in the Dawn of Eve experiment. Released at the end of 2020, The Wilds season 1 quickly became one of Prime Video's first real successes in the young adult genre. Since then, the streaming service has been trying to target more of that audience with quite a few shows, but none have hit as hard as The Wilds.

First believed to be a straightforward survival show, The Wilds quickly transformed into something bigger. The story focuses on a group of scientists - led by Gretchen Klein - who are conducting a controversial and unethical experiment in which eight girls must survive on an island for an undisclosed amount of time. The thing is, the girls weren't the only people to be forced into this experiment.

The Wilds season 2 introduces the "control group," in which eight boys must also undergo the hardships the girls went through in season 1, as well as throughout season 2. That means several new actors and characters had to be added to The Wilds season 2 cast.

The Wilds Season 2 Boys Cast

Male ensemble of The Wilds

Alex Fitzalan as Seth Novak: Seth is Henry Tanaka's step-brother and plays a larger role in the story on the island, being someone who finds himself at the center of several twists. Of The Wilds season 2's boys cast, Alex Fitzalan has more experience than his fellow actors. He previously starred in The Society as Harry Bingham, but when Netflix canceled the series, Prime Video picked him up for The Wilds.

Aidan Laprete as Henry Tanaka: Henry is Seth's nihilistic, step-brother who received 96 badges in the Boy Scouts. While he believes they're utterly doomed, he knows more about survival than anybody else and is, thus, a valuable asset to the group. Aidan Laprete has appeared in a handful of smaller films and TV shows, such as Under the Blood-Red Sun, but The Wilds is his breakout project.

Zack Calderon as Rafael Garcia: Rafael is a student who commutes to San Diego from Mexico for school and becomes a moral guide among the boys. For much of the early part of the season, he's seen as the main character on the boys' side. The Wilds is Zack Calderon's first major role. Prior to landing the gig as Rafael, Calderon appeared in an episode of FBI.

Nicholas Coombe as Josh Herbert: Josh initially struggles the most on the island due to his various medical conditions, but he comes into his own as the season goes on. Nicholas Coombe has starred in a number of TV series over the years, breaking out in 2018-2020 with roles on The Magicians, 68 Whiskey, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

Charles Alexander as Kirin O'Conner: Kirin fulfills the jock's role on the island, being a lacrosse player back home. He starts off as an opposing force among the boys but later becomes a key ally. The Wilds season 2 marks Charles Alexander's first major role; previously, he starred in a short film called Mother Dearest, which he also wrote and produced.

Miles Gutierrez-Riley as Ivan Taylor: Ivan is Kirin's classmate and a self-professed seeker of justice, and someone who's open about his sexuality. Similar to other actors in the series, Miles Gutierrez-Riley's Ivan is his first credited role, though he's slated to appear in two upcoming movies, The Moon & Back and On the Come Up.

Reed Shannon as Scotty Simms: Scotty is a fiercely loyal friend of Bo's, but he struggles at first with acclimating to the group; he will do everything he can to make sure he and Bo survive, but not so much everyone else. The Wilds is Reed Shannon's biggest role to date, but he notably provided the voice of Ekko in Netflix's acclaimed League of Legends series Arcane.

Tanner Ray Rook as Bo Leonard: Bo is a friend of Scotty's, and he grew up in an abusive household in which his father demanded a clean, spotless home at all times. But unlike Scotty, Bo wants to be a part of the group and look out for everyone's safety and security. So far, Tanner Ray Rook's only other credited role is playing Goblin in a 2019 episode of the series Side Quest.

The Wilds Season 2 Returning Cast & Characters

The Wilds Season 2 the girls look up

Sarah Pidgeon as Leah Rilke: Leah is the first person to suspect something is wrong and appears to suffer from delusions as a result of being gaslighted and cast aside. But then she finally gets her due in The Wilds season 2. Prior to starring in Prime Video's survival drama, Sarah Pidgeon guest-starred on an episode of Gotham as the character Jane Cartright.

Sophia Ali as Fatin Jadmani: Fatin is one of Leah's classmates from school and someone who's been pushed hard throughout her life, attempting to be perfect at virtually everything. She's a slacker at first while on the island, but then she quickly becomes a go-to person for the group. Sophia Ali has the most extensive career compared to all the girls on the island and has had recurring roles on shows like Faking It and Grey's Anatomy, as well as starring roles in movies like Truth or Dare and Uncharted, the latter of which she portrayed Chloe Fazer in.

Jenna Clause as Martha Blackburn: Martha is at first considered to be the "innocent" member of the group due to her deep love for animals and sheltered life, but she comes into her own throughout the series. She is also Toni's best friend. Jenna Clause is primarily known for her role as Martha in The Wilds, but she's also starred in You're It and The Furies Inside Me.

Shannon Berry as Dot Campbell: Dot is the most skilled survivor of the entire group due to her years of watching survival shows with her father. While she's primarily known for her role on The Wilds, Shannon Berry has appeared in a number of TV shows, such as Offspring, Hunters, and Monday Night Menace.

Erana James as Toni Shalifoe: Toni starts her story in an aggressive manner and she is fiercely loyal to her friend, Martha. She's a basketball player and openly gay, which becomes a notable story point throughout the series. The Wilds is Erana James' biggest role to date, though she's previously starred in series such as Golden Boy and Playing For Keeps.

Mia Healey as Shelby Goodkind: Shelby grew up in a religious household and struggles with coming to terms with her sexuality in season 1, and that affects her decisions (but not her love for Toni) in season 2. Mia Healey is known for starring in The Wilds season 1. Currently, her only other credit is a short film in 2021 titled Shark.

Reign Edwards as Rachel Reid: For a long time, Rachel was a diver on track for the Olympics, but she no longer could continue on that path. She also lost her hand in The Wilds season 1 finale due to a shark attack. In addition to starring in Prime Video's series, Reign Edwards is known for playing Melody Wright on Snowfall, Leanna Martin on MacGyver, and Nicole Forester Dominguez on The Brave and the Beautiful.

Helena Howard as Nora Reid: Nora is Rachel's fraternal twin sister, who happens to be in on the Dawn of Eve experiment. Nora disappeared in the season 1 finale and reappears only in a cameo in season 2. Helena Howard is also known for playing Aisha in the 2020 series Don't Look Deeper.

Rachel Griffiths as Gretchen Klein: Gretchen Klein is the head of the Dawn of Eve, a controversial and unethical program that fakes the show's plane crashes. Rachel Griffiths is a notable film and TV actress, but she's most likely known for starring as Brenda Chenowith in Six Feet Under and Sarah Walker in Brothers & Sisters in the 2000s. She appeared in a number of TV shows in the 2010s as well, such as House Husbands and When We Rise.

David Sullivan as Daniel Faber: Daniel Faber is a psychiatrist who Gretchen recruits to debrief and analyze the experiment's subjects. David Sullivan has been acting since the mid-2000s and has had roles in TV shows like NCIS, Justified, and Sharp Objects, as well as appeared in movies like Argo and The Big Bend.

Troy Winbush as Dean Young: Dean Young is the second person Gretchen put in charge of debriefing the subjects, but unlike his compatriots, he had a change of heart and tried to help Leah. Troy Winbush is mainly known for playing Officer Puchinski on The Goldbergs but has also had roles on Scandal and Law & Order: True Crime.

Jarred Blakiston as Alex: Alex is a loyal but disgruntled employee of Gretchen's. He's the only person who has had direct contact with all of the survivors, and he feels responsible for their safety. Jarred Blakiston may be recognized for starring in The Wilds, but his early roles as the Graphite Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge and Font Demon in The New Legends of Monkey helped put him on the map.
