Fuller House ended on an emotional note, but its final scene didn't feature Jesse which poses some questions. Running for five seasons, Netflix's Full House spin-off mainly focused on DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy as they navigate adult life. But the original show's old cast was still involved in the series in a recurring sense; that includes the Tanner girls' favorite uncle who was regularly given an arc of his own whenever he appeared.
At the beginning of Fuller House, Jesse and Becky were permanently residing in Los Angeles where the latter hosted Wake Up USA with Danny, while the former worked as the composer for General Hospital. Eventually, they moved back to the Bay Area again to be nearer to their family. With two grown-up kids in Alex and Nicky, the couple also adopted a daughter named Pamela, in honor of his sister. After appearing in the first few seasons, their twins never appeared in the show again, meanwhile, Becky was a no-show in Fuller House's final season after Lori Loughlin was fired from the project due to her involvement in the college admission scandal.
Jesse, however, was consistently involved until the series finale, so his absence in the parting shot makes it more glaring. He was there when DJ got engaged to Steve at the end of season 4 and was given a parenting arc in season 6 where he revealed that Becky was in Nebraska which is why she's not around. In the final episode, Jesse also walked Stephanie down the aisle during the triple wedding while Danny did the same with DJ, and Joey with Kimmy. The next day, just as the girls talked about, Stephanie and Kimmy prepared to move out with their respective families. Both Danny and Joey stayed for the last goodbye, but Jesse was nowhere to be found. It's possible that John Stamos was simply not on set the day that the sequence was filmed, but as an executive producer for Fuller House, the chances of that are very slim. So why didn't he join the main cast for their final farewell?
Considering his family's circumstances at that point, it's possible that immediately after the wedding, he had to leave San Francisco and join Becky in Nebraska. While the show purposefully glossed over the specific details of why his wife was suddenly called back to her hometown, it could be something very important since this was the first time in both Full House and its sequel's history that her family asked for her help. As a doting husband, Jesse could've decided to join her to offer support. In the real world, there's a chance that this was Stamos' decision. Despite the guilty verdict on Loughlin and her husband Massimo Gianulli for their involvement in the college admission scandal, most of the Full House actors have stuck by her side. Stamos intentionally not joining the rest of the cast for Fuller House's last scene could be a show of solidarity to his longtime co-star.
In any case, even if Jesse and Becky were present in the aforementioned sequence, it still wouldn't be complete. Fuller House failed to recruit twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to reprise their Full House role as Michelle in the Netflix spin-off. In fact, there was no explanation provided as to why she wasn't at her sisters' wedding. Given this, the show was already missing an important member, so Jesse skipping its parting shot shouldn't be that big of a deal.
