On Sunday, Taylor Hale became the winner of Big Brother 24. Taylor had a rocky start to the season but managed to take home the grand prize of $750k. While some fans may say she didn’t deserve to win due to her lack of competition wins, others believe her comeback story made her more than deserving.

Taylor was the biggest target in the house for the first few weeks of the season. Not only did she find herself on the block week after week, Taylor also experienced bullying while inside the house. Many fans called out the houseguests for having a racial bias against Taylor. Taylor later found safety and comfort in her Leftovers alliance which ultimately helped her make it to the end of the game.

Throughout the entire duration of the season, Taylor had to fight hard to remain inside the Big Brother house week after week. Being a target from the start of the season, Taylor found herself on the block six times. Despite nearly all the houseguests seeing her as a threat, Taylor managed to convince them to keep her in the house every time she was nominated. In addition to this, Taylor also managed to have an extremely strong social game despite experiencing bullying from other houseguests. Although Taylor thought she wouldn't win Big Brother, she had one of the most impressive comeback stories in the history of the show, which ultimately made her quite deserving of the $750k cash prize.

Taylor won Big Brother 24 by a vote of 8 to 1

Because Taylor has a Big Brother comeback story like no other, she won by a nearly unanimous vote. But that does not necessarily mean she was fully deserving of the grand prize. Unlike her fellow final three houseguests, Monte Taylor and Matthew “Turner” Turner, Taylor did not have a very strong Big Brother résumé. Monte, who Taylor sat next to in the final two, had five total competition wins, three Head of Households, and two Veto wins. In addition to this, Monte also had some major game moves such as being the causing force in getting Michael Bruner, who made Big Brother history, out of the house. Aside from her comeback story and great social game, Taylor did not have a very strong Big Brother resume. This may have been the reasoning behind Monte taking her to the final two. Perhaps he felt his strong résumé would help him win over Taylor.

Despite not only not having a strong resume like Turner and Monte but also not winning the final Head of Household competition, Taylor managed to take home the win this season. Not only did she win, but she had a near-unanimous vote with Turner being the only jury member to vote for Monte. If that wasn't enough, Taylor also made Big Brother history by being the first winner to also win America's Favorite Houseguest. Who needs a strong competition résumé when you can take home all the wins by having a good social game and a comeback story like no other?
