The Sister Wives star Christine Brown is one proud mama, after sharing with fans that she was a "sobbing mess" over Truely going back to school. The mother of six left Kody Brown and moved to Utah in 2021, in the hopes of leading a better life. Now, the mother is getting back into the swing of things as she marks the first day of school.
All Christine has ever really known is how to be the best mother possible. For most of their marriage, Christine served as the homemaker for the Brown family. The third wife played a pivotal role in raising more than a dozen of Kody's children, so she knows a thing or two about motherhood. Many of the older children noted in recent seasons that they look to Christine as a second mother, because she did so much for them.
With a new school year ahead, it didn't look like Christine was emotionally ready to send her youngest daughter Truely off to her first day of middle school. The Sister Wives star took to Instagram to share a photo of her daughter, who looked thoroughly embarrassed, as pre-teens do. Truely wore a unique outfit that included a long cardigan, striped socks, and flats. Christine revealed that she was barely keeping it together as she would soon be an empty nester. She even added the hashtag "nervous wreck" underneath her photo.
Christine has six children with Kody: Mykelti, 25; Paedon, 23, Aspyn, 26; Ysabel, 18, and Gwendlyn Brown, 20. Fans could empathize with Christine, as this would be the last time she sent a child off to middle school. Emotions were undoubtedly running high, as Truely has been through quite a lot in her young life. In 2014, she almost died after being hospitalized for liver failure. Fans' hearts also broke in recent seasons, as Truely started to notice that her father wasn't spending a lot of time with her.
Now that Truely is practically a teenager, Christine will have a lot more to contend with. The new Sister Wives season is set to premiere on September 11, and it will show the fallout between her and Kody. It was recently revealed that Christine sold back her plot of land at Coyote Pass for only $10, essentially gifting the land back to Kody. The move underscores the fact that Christine is trying to get the toxicity out of her life, so she can concentrate on the good things she has going on.
