The onscreen and behind-the-scenes drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 has made the season one of the worst in history. Fans have been outraged by the majority of the cast members' behavior throughout the season. The remaining Fox Force Five members have been under fire for remaining extremely loyal to each other, despite how controversial the antics have gotten. Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, and Erika Jayne have seemingly been taking turns playing the lead villain role.

Erika's ongoing legal trouble has her stressed, and acting out during filming. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills women have all called out her bizarre behavior, and expressed concern about her mixing alcohol with antidepressants. However, Garcelle Beauvais and her children were the only ones on the receiving end of Erika's wrath. Erika faced backlash when she attended Garcelle's birthday party and flirted with Garcelle's eldest son, and told her 14-year-old son to "fu*k off." A deleted scene revealed how funny Kyle, Dorit, and their husbands thought Erika's behavior was. Kyle defended Erika for coming off as "loose and free" with the group.

Diana Jenkins was brought on as the newcomer in season 12. It was her chance to become a new fan favorite. Instead, Diana managed to become the most-hated housewife on the show. Diana's storyline is lacking in the entertainment department. While Diana could've addressed the past scandals her name has been tied to, she opted to team up with FFF, to try to take down Sutton and Garcelle. On social media, Diana has faced backlash for making racist comments to a Black blogger, and blaming it on her European descent. Diana has also taken a number of jabs at Garcelle on social media, and referenced her past charity work in predominantly Black countries in a scathing post aimed at the show's only Black housewife. The recent bot attack against Garcelle's son Jax was the final straw for fans, who were convinced that one of the women paid for the bots that bombarded the teenager with hate messages.
