Another day and another affair from Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloé Kardashians’ new baby boy on the season 2 opener of The Kardashians. After countless cheating scandals against Khloé and other secret women, fans were less than surprised to hear that he was having a baby with another woman just after Khloé agreed to do an embryo transfer with her surrogate. The scandal was the sole plot of the season opener of the Hulu original, and it has many fans questioning why Khloé sticks with Tristan at all.
After fans watched a season of Khloé and Tristan repairing their relationship in the premiere of the new show, it seemed that Tristan would keep his act together after he tried so hard to win Khloé back. Yet he disappointed fans and the famous family once again and has likely ruined his chance of being Khloé’s lover once and for all. Khloé’s relationship trauma has affected her entire family, but it should not affect her home life when she has every tool at her disposal to keep it from continuing.
At the end of season 2, episode 1, “I Have Something To Tell You…”, fans finally see Tristan in the hospital room eager to hold his baby in front of a clearly uncomfortable Khloé. She hands him their son, and it quickly cuts away to her leaving the hospital. Despite the initial tension, Khloé has been adamant about remaining friends with Tristan so that they are able to co-parent with ease, though she will remain the baby’s primary caregiver. Considering their relationship status before the baby, many fans questioned why Khloé would have his baby in the first place, yet with her position and resources, the father of her child really does not matter.
Khloé And Her Family Have Nowhere To Go But Up
As evidenced in the season premiere with Kylie and Khloé’s sweet interaction over sharing baby clothes, Khloé has no shortage of family to help her with her new baby. Like many LA mothers, Khloé likely has hired help to take care of the children when she needs a break. And despite Tristan’s dalliances, he has also shown his willingness to be around for their daughter True, and has exuded excitement for their new baby. Having another baby with Tristan not only allows her to have biologically related children but also a father who cares. She has no need for Tristan’s resources or funds, and considering her usage of a surrogate instead of carrying the baby herself, Tristan is essentially a sperm donor.
Khloé is not letting Tristan’s escapades keep her down; in fact, she’s already rumored to be dating an Italian actor named Michele Morrone after cozy pictures of them together in Milan spread online. Khloe is now free to do as she likes despite her previous wish for the “white picket fence'' stereotype that she stated was once her wish in the season 2 opener. After the hurt Tristan caused her, Khloé will likely take her time forgiving him and setting healthy boundaries. Meanwhile, Tristan is unlikely to slow down his dating life and fans are definitely eager to see if he will make an appearance in The Kardashians season 2.
