Dancing With The Stars has dedicated nights to many iconic artists throughout the past 31 seasons including Elvis Presley, Britney Spears, and Janet Jackson, but the show has yet to celebrate the songs and dances of the legendary Queen of Pop, Madonna. DWTS has paid tribute to Madonna in a few episodes, including a season 10 cha cha dance-off to "Holiday" and a season 13 medley of hits. They included "Like a Virgin" and "Like a Prayer."

Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel recreated Madonna's classic "Vogue" performance during season 21 and Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong danced to "Like a Virgin" during season 29. Most recently, DWTS season 31 contestants Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy danced the cha cha to Madonna's "Die Another Day" on Bond Night. Also, a DWTS judge has a past connection to Madonna: Carrie Ann Inaba was a featured solo dancer during her 1993 Girlie Show World Tour.

Madonna Has Four Decades Of Hits That Could Suit Various DWTS Dance Styles

Madonna's catalog spans from the 1980s to today, and includes all different styles of music. Her hits include songs such as the singles listed above along with "Material Girl," "Crazy For You," "Into the Groove," "La Isla Bonita," "Express Yourself," "Take a Bow," "Frozen," "Music," "Don't Tell Me," and "Hung Up." Madonna's songs are deeply connected to the visual imagery that she has created to accompany them. Anyone who has ever been to a Madonna concert knows that they are like Broadway shows, complete with sets and costumes that could be recreated in the DWTS ballroom. Her music videos also have classic scenes that could be relived on DWTS.

Madonna Is A Fashion Icon

DWTS is, at its heart, a show about dancing, but there is much more to it. Every DWTS dance is infused with the spirit of the story that it tells, and Madonna has told many tales throughout the years through her fashion sense. The costumes on a DWTS Madonna Night would bring back to life the decades of fashion statements that she has created through her art. From cone bras to cowboy chic, from channeling Marilyn Monroe to Marie Antoinette, Madonna has shaped the fashion sense of generations. It would be so exciting to see the DWTS contestants and professional dancers dressed in her immediately recognizable costumes.

Madonna Is A Trained Dancer

If Madonna were to be a DWTS guest judge, she would have more expertise than most. As a child, she took ballet lessons and was persuaded to pursue a career in dance by her teacher. Madonna received a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan where she studied the art of dance. During the summer, she studied at the American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina. Madonna also has years of experience dancing on stage, which would make her a knowledgeable and fair guest judge.

Madonna is an extraordinary artist who deserves a DWTS night. Her music gets people up on their feet and spans generations. Every person in the ballroom is sure to have a memory attached to a Madonna song. As Madonna says in her song, "Music makes the people come together," and a DWTS Madonna Night would have everyone dancing.
