Coral Smith is one of the most iconic players to ever compete on The Challenge, winning Battle of the Seasons (2002), and making the finals in all but two of her series appearances. She is known for her feisty and unapologetic one-liners, as well as her fierce competitive spirit. Unfortunately, she has not been cast on The Challenge or The Challenge: All-Stars since 2008, due to her job as a doula. However, on Twitter, Coral recently hinted at the possibility of The Challenge comeback. She coyly tweeted, "So you’re saying do this little challenge?? Just curious…;)." Her social media post was enough to ignite a frenzy of rumors that Coral may soon be returning to the show that made her a star. As seen with the return of Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio to the show, fans are nostalgic for early players like Coral.Related: Why Kaycee & Brother Kenny Got Pulled From The Challenge

Coral Smith's Job May Make Returning To The Challenge Difficult

While the flagship MTV version of The Challenge could be too competitive and time-consuming for Coral, the iteration on Paramount+, known as The Challenge: All-Stars, could be a perfect fit for her. Not only would she be with people she previously competed against, like Beth Stolarczyk and Tina Bridges, but the filming period is much shorter. This might allow her to continue working as a doula, without needing to take much time off. With former rival Julie Stoffer looking to appear on The Challenge: All-Stars as well, the revival of Coral and Julie's infamous season-long battle from 2004's The Inferno may seem inevitable.

Although last season's prize money for The Challenge: All-Stars was $250,000, that might not be enough incentive for Coral to return. Known for being a pot-stirrer on and off the show, Coral has teased fans numerous times about her return, only to be missing from the cast as each new season premieres. In her tweet, she also wrote, "Yes I’m a Doula so I’ve been super life busy!!," implying that she may lack the time off that is necessary to make even a shorter season happen.

While it is unknown whether Coral has the time to do the series, her interest in the show remains high. She may not be tweeting about The Challenge season 38, which is currently airing, but she still replies to those who share fond memories of her time on the show. At the end of her tweet, she lets fans know, "But I am still that Coral!!," as if they could ever forget just how memorable she has been on the series. Whether it's a tease or a sign of things to come, there is more and more hype over Coral's possible The Challenge return.
