The Bachelorette fans are far from impressed with the cast selection for Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia during their quest for true love. The feeling of distaste spreading across the show's fanbase concerning the choice of men put in the bachelors' house has only grown. Several scenarios have made viewers question the suitors selected for this season’s co-leads.

Season 19 started with the twist of having two Bachelorettes, with one set of men competing for their hearts. To date, this format change hasn’t had a positive effect on the series' viewers, and producers likely expected more. Gabby and Rachel were also a part of The Bachelor, which starred Clayton Echard, and they both started a friendship that has lasted since then. This earned them a soft spot with The Bachelorette season 19 viewers, but the same can't be said about most of the men featured this season.

The feeling of disappointment seems to be shared by most of the fanbase, and they have taken to social media to express their annoyance with the cast selection. Some fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions, with a particular Twitter user, BrettSVegara, tweeting, It is SO easy to express how you genuinely connect with one person over another without making the other person feel like absolute goblin trash, and yet these men are still finding a way … ” This reaction pretty much sums up Rachel’s first The Bachelorette rose ceremony, as she faced rejection in a way that was less than ideal.

Rachel got three of her nine roses dismissed by James “Meatball” Clarke, Alec Garza, and Tremayne Harper. The latter man said he felt a deeper connection with Gabby. On the other hand, Gabby got rejections at the group date afterparty, and there were several comments about her having rough edges. One person said that he would have left the house if Gabby was the lone Bachelorette. Such comments and reactions did not sit well with The Bachelorette viewers, who are sharing their support for the stars, as well as how annoyed they are by the suitors.

Yet another Twitter user voiced an opinion that seemed to resonate with The Bachelorette fans. User mandmreality said, The most common theme in the Bachelorette is men putting in 0 effort #TheBachelorette” There have been so many scenarios where this statement rings true, from John Anderson mixing up the stars' names to the men paying more attention to football than Gabby when she visited the house. It has left the co-leads in a state of emotional turmoil, and needing to rely on their friendship for emotional support through the difficult phase. This is true even though they are in somewhat of a competition with each other.

Ultimately, the show must go on, with Gabby having her nine Bachelor franchise roses accepted, while Rachel had six men who reciprocated her interests. Despite its downward spiral, people who watch The Bachelorette still hold out hope for the co-stars. They want them to find true love, during what has been a disappointing start to the season. Both Bachelorettes have picked out a set of men that they would like to move forward with in the rose ceremony and beyond, and the onscreen action may improve as the season's drama intensifies.
