Warning! Spoilers ahead for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 1.She-Hulk: Attorney at Law reveals an unknown third love interest for the MCU's original Captain America, Steve Rogers, but who was she? And when was she? She-Hulk episode 1 primarily depicts the origin story of the titular superhero, a.k.a. Jennifer Walters, but it also leans heavily on its ties to the greater MCU. One way the show does this is by featuring She-Hulk's cousin Bruce Banner, a.k.a. the Hulk, who shares some juicy gossip with her about Steve Rogers's love life.

In the Easter egg-filled first episode of She-Hulk, Jen (Tatiana Maslany) pesters Bruce (Mark Ruffalo) about a particular detail about Captain America: did Steve Rogers die a virgin? Ultimately, Bruce reveals that the star-spangled Avenger did have sexual relations with someone during the USO tour in 1943. This unnamed woman and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) would now seem to be the only two women with whom Steve Rogers had a dalliance. However, in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 1 end credits, there's a painting of Jen presenting a diagram tracking everyone whom Steve dated. The illustration clearly includes Peggy and one of the tour's Star Spangled Singers, likely the woman Captain America lost his virginity to. But there's also a third woman whose identity is a mystery.

While it's unclear exactly who this additional love interest is, based on the illustration, the seemingly blonde woman could be Peggy's great-niece Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp). After all, she and Steve did share a kiss, one that remains controversial. The problem with this is that Sharon and Steve's fling happened in Captain America: Civil War when Bruce was off-Earth, on Sakaar. Unless Captain America divulged this to Bruce, his fellow Avenger wouldn't know about it, let alone be able to tell Jen. Another possibility for the mystery woman is the unnamed blonde waitress (Ashley Johnson) from the Battle of New York with whom Steve shared a brief moment.

She-Hulk’s Steve Rogers’ Reveal Ruins His Perfect Endgame Ending

She-Hulk Episode 1 Credits Scene Showing Jen Tracking All Of Captain America's Love interests

Marvel Studios found a great way to wrap up Steve Rogers's MCU arc without killing him like Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame. After returning all of the Infinity Stones from their designated time and setting, Steve went further back in time to reunite with Peggy Carter, and after decades of waiting, they finally got their dance. The pair's love story is among the best in the MCU, especially given how loyal Steve had been to his one true love.

Yet this new revelation in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 1 cheapens the whole thing. Granted, Steve did try to make a romantic connection with Sharon Carter, but that was long after he was separated from her great-aunt, and at that point, Captain America’s first love, Peggy, was already gone, so he didn't think that there was any way to be with her. That is different from him being intimate with a woman in 1943 when he would have already had some strong feelings for Peggy and not known that his life was going to drastically change before he could act on them.

For a show that is meant to be an origin story for a new MCU character, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law reveals a lot of key information about the original Avengers as well. Aside from the big Captain America bombshell, the series also establishes how Iron Man and the Hulk spent time after Thanos's snap in Avengers: Infinity War. Moving forward, it's curious if the series will share more fun tidbits — or in the case of Steve Rogers's love life, displeasing revelations — about other MCU characters.
