WWE fans who don't want to have Uncle Howdy's identity possibly revealed might want to stop reading now. For months, audience members assumed that Bray Wyatt was playing Howdy and that the two were one and the same. However, that has shifted over the last few weeks, as Uncle Howdy has made his presence physically felt during SmackDown, all while Wyatt is in the ring. This could be a smoke-and-mirrors situation for WWE, and it could turn out that Wyatt has been Howdy all along. LA Knight seems to believe that to be the case. As Raw gears up for the January 9 broadcast, an interesting name has reportedly been seen backstage before the show.

According to Fightful Select, none other than Bo Dallas is in Birmingham, Alabama, and is on hand for tonight's episode of Raw. "Fightful Select has confirmed that Bo Dallas is set to be backstage at today's edition of WWE Raw. There has been speculation he's performing as 'Uncle Howdy,' but the person under the costume doesn't reveal their identity before getting in or out of the costume in front of people." WWE is keeping Howdy's identity a closely-guarded secret, as there has been no indication of who could be portraying the character on SmackDown.

Is Uncle Howdy Arriving At Raw For Alexa Bliss?

Alexa Bliss reacts to a "fan" in the crowd of WWE Raw who is wearing an Uncle Howdy mask.

If Bo Dallas is actually the one playing Uncle Howdy, then his being backstage at Raw could indicate that Uncle Howdy is finally going after Alexa Bliss. Since Wyatt returned at Extreme Rules, his longstanding connection to Bliss has been continually strengthened in storyline. She appears to be going full-blown heel, which is the exact opposite direction WWE seems to be taking Wyatt. He's still reportedly listed as the top babyface on SmackDown, after all.

During last week's episode of Raw, Bliss encountered a few fans who were wearing Uncle Howdy replica masks. Their appearance caused Alexa to snap, and she ended up leaving Bianca Belair a bloody mess following an attack. Bliss doesn't seem too concerned with winning the Raw Women's Championship, and her happy-go-lucky character appears to be doomed at this point. This is a positive shift overall, as Bliss has stated that working with Wyatt was the most fun she'd ever had in her career, and Raw badly needs female heels besides Rhea Ripley.

News of Dallas being backstage at Raw could finally give fans a clue as to who is portraying the mysterious Uncle Howdy. If the masked man makes his presence felt on the red brand in connection to Alexa Bliss, then Bo could very well be the one playing Uncle Howdy. It's true that sometimes former WWE talent will swing through backstage to say hello to old friends whenever the broadcasts are in their hometown. Both Dallas and Wyatt are from Florida, however. Tonight's show is airing from Alabama. With the Royal Rumble just a few weeks away and Wyatt set to wrestle Knight in a pitch black match, it seems that WWE could be looping Bliss back into Bray's ongoing storyline. Fans will have to tune into Raw tonight to see if Uncle Howdy pops up or if Dallas is just saying hello.
