Patrick Schwarzenegger is set to appear in a spinoff of The Boys called The Boys Presents: Varsity - but who will he be playing? Being the son of major action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick will surely bring some serious star power to whoever he plays, whether a human or a superhero. While there are a lot of characters Patrick Schwarzeneggar could have been cast to play in The Boys Presents: Varsity, the character he is playing is one of the most interesting.

Although not many details are known about The Boys Presents: Varsity, what is known builds a lot of hype for the spinoff. Varsity will be the second spinoff series of The Boys, preceded only by the animated anthology series The Boys Presents: Diabolical. The series will follow a group of young adult heroes training at the Vought-run Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where the supes will compete in various games and challenges. Whereas The Seven is a parody of DC's Justice League, Varsity's superhero team will be named the G-Men, a clear parody of Marvel's X-Men. Although much of Varsity's main cast has been announced, there aren't any hints as to who they are playing - with the exception of Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Although not confirmed, initial reports and subsequent rumors have suggested that Patrick Schwarzenegger will be playing Golden Boy in Varsity. If he does appear, Golden Boy would be a new character for The Boys universe, having never appeared in the comics or the TV series. In fact, Golden Boy has only ever been mentioned in an advertisement for The Boys hosted by Cameron Coleman, an in-universe news anchor that has made frequent appearances in the advertising campaign for The Boys season 3. Because of Golden Boy's lack of appearances, this advertisement is really the only place where info on Golden Boy can be found.

In this news report, Cameron Coleman speaks about the competitions at Godolkin University, mentioning that Golden Boy is shaping up to be the top pick in next year's superhero draft. Golden Boy seems to be Godolkin's superstar, acting as one of the best supes on campus, and sporting a name that matches his perfect persona. According to unverified claims (via The Illuminerdi), Golden Boy's abilities come from thermonuclear powers, a skillset not yet seen in the universe of The Boys. Golden Boy is 22 years old and apparently maintains a level head despite his powers, although it is more likely he will fall in line with so-called heroes like the evil Homelander. While none of this is confirmed, if true, Varsity's Golden Boy sounds like one of the most exciting characters to enter The Boys universe in a long time.

Patrick Schwarzenegger's role as Golden Boy has been widely reported, meaning that it is fairly likely to be true. While this is exciting, Golden Boy will likely be only one of many surprises that the ultra-gory The Boys spinoff will bring to the table. The Boys Presents: Varsity is shaping up to be a fantastic spinoff series, with Patrick Schwarzenegger's thermonuclear Golden Boy being one of the most anticipated parts of the show.
