Fans of The White Lotus have flooded Twitter with hilariously eccentric proposals for who should comprise the ensemble cast of season 3 of the hit HBO anthology series. Created by Mike White, the immensely popular comedic whodunnit, now airing season 2, follows the misadventures of a star-studded cast of characters whose already complicated lives intersect while staying at the same luxurious resort where they indulge in all of their most decadent desires, leading up to the reveal of an underlying mystery teased at the beginning of each season. Save for Jennifer Coolidge, who stars as the uber-wealthy and self-involved Tanya, each season of the show, initially intended to only be a 6-episode miniseries, follows a new cast staying at a different location of the resort chain.As the cast of The White Lotus evolves and is expected to continue featuring new and unexpected A-list celebrities with each passing season, fans have taken to Twitter to share their own hilarious takes on who they think should make an appearance in season 3. Will Anyone In White Lotus Season 2 Return For Season 3?
Though The White Lotus is an anthology series, White has proven he is willing to bend expectations by continuing to feature Jennifer Coolidge in season 2 as she reprises her role of Tanya alongside Jon Gries, who plays Tanya's new husband, Greg, after they met at the White Lotus resort in Hawaii in season 1. Coolidge has become an integral part of the show's design, offering levity through her effortless comedic instincts while also depicting the show's most overt commentary of privilege run amok. While it has yet to be confirmed whether she will return to White Lotus season 3 and beyond, White has been very open about his hopes to continue collaborating with the Emmy winner.
Why White Lotus Season 3's Cast Could Be Even Bigger
After the premiere of season 1 in 2021, White Lotus was met with immense critical acclaim and went on to win most of the awards it was nominated for at the 2022 Emmys, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Though the ensemble cast of the premiere season was lauded for their natural chemistry and the sheer talent their collaboration offered, the show's initial success allowed it to attract even bigger names to its current season.
