Warning: Contains SPOILERS for The White Lotus season 2!!After seven exciting episodes, The White Lotus season 2 has ended, leaving several major questions completely unanswered. The complex mystery that unfolds in Taormina, Sicily, over the course of season 2 has all kinds of interweaving threads, causing the lives of the guests at the White Lotus resort to intertwine at various points throughout the story. While many of these mysteries were wrapped up by the end of The White Lotus season 2, the show has left a few loose ends.

Each season of The White Lotus follows various groups of wealthy American tourists staying at one of the titular resorts, and their respective opening scenes each reveal that someone dies in the end. Being an anthology series, season 2 takes place in Sicily, with the only returning characters being Tanya and Greg from The White Lotus season 1. In the season 2 finale, believing Greg is attempting to have her killed, Tanya shoots three of his friends on a boat before jumping overboard and accidentally drowning. Although the rest of the White Lotus Taormina's guests return home, the end of season 2 leaves many questions unresolved.

Did Greg's Friends Actually Plan on Killing Tanya?

Tanya waving in The White Lotus season 2

In The White Lotus season 2, Greg claims he has to go home and handle some things at the Bureau of Land Management and leaves Tanya and her assistant, Portia, at the resort in Sicily. Tanya then makes some wealthy acquaintances, whom she eventually discovers are actually friends of Greg's. She becomes convinced that Greg wants them to kill her and Portia so that he can inherit her vast wealth. Although Tanya does go on a killing spree and accidentally kills herself, it is never actually confirmed if Greg planned on hurting Tanya. Still, it seems likely.

Considering that Tanya finds a gun, rope, and duct tape on board the boat in the White Lotus season 2 finale, it seems like Greg's friends were at least planning on kidnapping her. She also finds a photo confirming Greg knew these men. It could be that Greg left Sicily in order to have an alibi, acquiring Tanya's money without facing charges. One popular theory claims that they weren't actually planning on killing her, but rather wanted to get evidence of her cheating on Greg in order to invalidate the prenuptial agreement. Cameras can be seen throughout Quentin and Jack's villa, making this seem more likely than the murder plot.

Did Harper Actually Hook Up With Cameron?

Ethan and Harper Spiller look unenthusiastic at breakfast in The White Lotus

In the last few episodes of The White Lotus season 2, Ethan became suspicious that his wife, Harper, cheated on him with his friend Cameron. The two were seen getting drinks together before heading upstairs, but when Ethan got there later, they were in separate rooms. In the season finale, Harper admitted that Cameron did kiss her, but nothing else happened. However, the series never directly shows what happened in the room, leaving Harper's truthfulness up in the air. Her story doesn't exactly line up, with there being an unexplained 10-minute gap before Ethan came upstairs — something series creator Mike White even alludes to in the end-of-episode interview.

Bert and Dominic have both cheated on their wives multiple times, with Dominic even admitting having a sex addiction. Albie is the youngest of the three and is determined to end the womanizing that is present in his family. However, Albie begins sleeping with the same sex worker that his father has been with while in Sicily. Furthermore, at the end of the season, all three men can be seen staring at the same woman as she walks by in an airport, implying that nothing has really changed.

At the beginning of The White Lotus season 2, it's revealed that Dominic's wife, Abby, and their daughter were also supposed to join the men on vacation, but Abby left Dominic due to his cheating. Abby, who was voiced by Laura Dern, was expected to show up in the series, but she never did. Although the status of their marriage is never confirmed, it's implied that things are getting better, with Albie putting in a good word for his dad leading to Abby finally answering Dominic's phone calls. Dominic also makes his "karmic payment" to Lucia, meaning he may finally be growing.

Why Did Lucia Leave Albie?

Albie's relationship with Lucia grows from a fling with a sex worker to a seemingly loving partnership by the end of The White Lotus season 2. She even confides in Albie about the danger that she's in from her supposed pimp, Alessio. Albie and Dominic decide to pay 50,000 Euros to free her from her debt, but at the very end of the White Lotus finale, Lucia gets out of bed and secretly leaves Albie without saying goodbye. She appears in one last scene talking with Allesio again, implying that Albie may have been just another con job all this time, leaving it unknown if she ever actually liked him.

What Will Happen To Valentina & The Sicily Hotel?

Sabrina Impacciatore as Valentina in The White Lotus season 2 crossing her arms and looking stern

Valentina, the hotel manager of Sicily's White Lotus location, ends the second season in a lot of trouble. Firstly, she's caught having sex in one of the hotel rooms by a member of her housekeeping staff, something that could get her seriously disciplined if more people find out about it. Having sex inside the hotel is also what led to the death of Armond, the Hawaiian hotel manager, in season 1, implying that something similar could happen to Valentina. However, like many of the other mysteries, this storyline is left unresolved.

On top of that, Valentina and the Sicily hotel are in trouble with Giuseppe, the former piano player for the hotel's restaurant. Earlier in The White Lotus season 2, Mia accidentally poisons Giuseppe, sending him to the hospital for several episodes. Mia fills in for Giuseppe at the restaurant while he's gone, only for Valentina to fire him and officially hire Mia upon his return. Giuseppe leaves the hotel in a storm, implying that he is going to sue the hotel — or worse — meaning that the Sicilian White Lotus could be in trouble in the near future.

Will Greg & Tanya's Crimes Be Uncovered?

Tanya and Greg in The White Lotus

The biggest mystery left over from The White Lotus season 2 revolves around what will happen in the aftermath of Greg and Tanya's crimes. Although Tanya kills three people on the boat, the captain and one of Quentin's friends, who were both in on the murder plot, escaped, meaning that they could reveal what Tanya did. Similarly, Tanya's assistant, Portia, knows about Greg's proposed crimes, meaning that she could reveal what he has done. Perhaps the answer to this and other questions that are left open in the season 2 finale will be provided when The White Lotus returns for season 3.
