Creator Jeff Eastin has teased the possible return of USA's beloved hit, White Collar, with stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay both game to continue the story. The crime caper premiered in 2009 and ran for six seasons on the network, bidding farewell to its fans with a condensed six-episode final season. Eastin last worked on the USA show Graceland, which ran for just three seasons before it was unfortunately cancelled.

White Collar follows a criminal named Neal Caffrey (Bomer), who agrees to help the FBI capture other white-collar criminals in exchange for his freedom, using his expertise as a conman, counterfeiter and art thief. The series starred Bomer, DeKay, Willie Garson and Tiffani Thiessen. The show was partially inspired by the real life story of Frank Abagnale Jr., a counterfeiter who eventually was caught and agreed to help the FBI chase after criminals of his kind, seen in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can. The last audiences saw of Neal Caffrey, the charismatic conman faked his own death and moved to Paris in order to truly have his freedom. Of course, he cleverly informed his FBI partner and best friend Peter Burke (DeKay) that he was still alive and well.

Eastin has teased the return of the show on his Twitter, with stars Bomer and DeKay both letting him know they would be happy to return. In his post, Eastin shared a picture of Caffrey's famous fedora that he has taken out of storage, stating he thinks the character should come out of retirement. Bomer, who played Caffrey, eagerly responded to his post, simply stating, "Let's do it!" The star also added that he wants a reunion before he gets too old to pull off the fedora. Adding fuel to the fire, co-star DeKay responded by saying, "I'm on board...for a plane bound for Paris!" Their full exchange is below.

Since White Collar ended, Bomer has kept busy, starring in a wide variety of projects. He has made appearances in notable projects, such as Magic Mike XXL, The Nice Guys and the remake of The Magnificent Seven. He has also made appearances in American Horror Story and headlined USA's The Sinner's latest season. He's also starred in other television projects such as DC's Doom Patrol, where he plays the comic book character Negative Man. However, the version of the character he played on Titans differs from the one he portrays on Doom Patrol. The comic book series was renewed for a second season that will premiere on HBO Max. Bomer has also made several appearances on NBC's revival of Will & Grace.

White Collar was a breath of fresh air when it premiered back in 2009. Not only did the series follow a procedural format that was easily accessible to new viewers, it featured two standout performances from both Bomer and DeKay, the two sharing a wonderful chemistry and dynamic that helped the show coast effortlessly for six entertaining seasons. It was a series that wasn't afraid to delve deeper into its central characters and only became more emotionally compelling as it went on. News of a possible revival is fantastic to hear, but seeing how excited both Bomer and DeKay are about returning to their respective characters is simply the icing on the cake. Though the show's revival may still be up in the air, fans can rewatch the six seasons of White Collar as they await further news.
