Here’s a quick guide to the cast and characters of comedy crime drama White Collar. Created by Jeff Eastin, White Collar was a police procedural series with a twist that took inspiration from real-life white-collar criminals like Frank Abagnale (played by Leonardo DiCaprio in 2002's Catch Me If You Can). The show focused on the unlikely partnership formed between a by-the-book FBI agent and the charming con artist he arrests after they team up to catch other white-collar criminals.

Unfortunately, White Collar came to an end in 2014 and joined the graveyard of fellow cancelled USA Network original series like Burn Notice and Psych. The show had a good run though, airing for a total of six seasons and over 80 episodes, and there was even talk of a TV movie but those rumors seem to have fizzled out since the show went off the air.

White Collar may be over, but the show is still available to watch online via various streaming services. For fans revisiting the show or those jumping in for the first time, here’s a guide to the White Collar cast and the characters they portrayed on the crime drama.

White Collar

Matt Bomer – Neal Caffrey

Neal Caffrey is a charming conman who breaks out of jail with just a few months left on his sentence. After he’s re-arrested by FBI agent Burke, Neal strikes up a deal to serve the rest of his sentence by helping the FBI catch fellow white-collar criminals rather than going back to prison. He’s played by Matt Bomer who currently stars as Larry Trainer (aka Negative Man) on DC Universe’s Doom Patrol.

Tim DeKay – Peter Burke

Tim DeKay’s character Peter Burke is an FBI agent in charge of the White Collar Crime Unit in New York. A no-nonsense kind of guy, Peter often butts heads with Neal although the pair form an unlikely friendship over the course of the show. Since White Collar ended, Tim DeKay has appeared in shows like American Crime and Here And Now.

Willie Garson – Mozzie

Fellow con artist Mozzie is Neal’s trusted confidant and closest friend who helps him with his investigations via his various connections to the criminal underworld. He’s played by Willie Garson who is best known for his role as Stanford Blatch in Sex And The City.

Tiffani Thiessen – Elizabeth Burke

Tiffani Thiessen of Saved By The Bell and Beverly Hills, 90210 fame played Peter’s wife Elizabeth Burke. She runs her own event planning business and even finds the time to help her husband out with investigations on occasion.

Sharif Atkins – Clinton Jones

Sharif Atkin’s role on White Collar reunited him with show creator Jeff Eastin who he previously worked with on the short-lived crime drama Hawaii. Atkins played FBI agent Clinton Jones, who was often stuck with the grunt work like surveillance and babysitting Neal.

Marsha Thomason – Diana Berrigan

Fellow FBI agent Diana Berrigan is Peter’s most trusted colleague and started out as a recurring character in season 1 before joining the main cast of White Collar from season 2 onward. She’s played by British actress Marsha Thomason who currently plays the recurring character Nicole Dechamps in NCIS: Los Angeles.
