Marlon Wayans said a Captain Marvel doll looks like his character in White Chicks. Wayans got his start in television, appearing in his older brother Keenen Ivory Wayans's seminal sketch comedy show In Living Color during the early '90s. After collaborating with his close brother Shawn Wayans on the sitcom The Wayans Bros. Since then, he's appeared mostly in comedies and spoof movies, including the Scary Movie series, Little Man, and Fifty Shades of Black, while occasionally taking on big-budget action flicks like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Arguably Wayans's most memorable comedy during the 2000s was White Chicks. The movie follows Marlon and his brother Shawn as two FBI agents forced to use whiteface and impersonate two wealthy women entangled in a kidnapping plot. Although the film raked in over $110 million at the global box office against a $37 million budget, it received scathing reviews from critics, with many deeming it the worst movie of 2004. White Chicks has since developed a cult following, giving it an impressive legacy that Marlon Wayans continues to interact with all these years later.

Wayans recently took to Instagram to share a picture of a Captain Marvel action figure that looks eerily like his character Marcus (aka Tiffany) in White Chicks. He lampooned the strange Avengers: Endgame edition doll by putting it next to an image of Tiffany's face over Captain Marvel's body, humorously identifying how the doll slighted Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson by making her look like his character. Check out Wayans's hilarious caption and the picture below:

Marlon Wayans White Chicks Character as Captain Marvel

Plans for a White Chicks sequel have been gestating for over a decade now, as Sony originally announced it in 2009 before canceling the project. Wayans and co-star Terry Crews have mentioned the possibility of a sequel at various points over the last five years, but nothing has come to fruition. Still, Wayans has had no problem staying busy lately, with a recent starring role in Sofia Coppola's new movie On the Rocks and a lucrative first-look deal with HBO Max.

Much of the fun surrounding weird movie memorabilia is more about their mockery than their playfulness or utility. The Star Wars franchise is widely known for many downright strange-looking toys or merchandise, such as a C3PO tape dispenser and Wookie Crocs. Though Wayans's comparison to his White Chicks character is valid, that kind of joke proves how poorly made action figures can be just as fun, if not more fun, than well-made action figures that look legitimate.
