Here's every song featured on the soundtrack for 2014 drama White Bird In A Blizzard. Filmmaker Gregg Araki is probably best known for films like 1995's The Doom Generation or dark drama Mysterious Skin, but in recent years he's guest helmed episodes of shows such as 13 Reasons Why and Riverdale. In 2014 he directed arthouse drama White Bird In A Blizzard, which revolves around Shailene Woodley's teenager Kat, whose mother Eve (Eva Green) mysteriously vanishes one day. The movie spans years as her disappearance is investigated, and Kat begins to suspect various people in her life - including an ex-boyfriend and her father - may know more than they're revealing.

In addition to Woodley and Green, White Bird In A Blizzard features a great supporting cast, including Christopher Meloni, Angela Bassett and Sheryl Lee (Twin Peaks). The movie's best reviews focused on the performances, though some critics felt it worked better as a coming of age teen drama than a thriller. The movie does end on a suitably surprising twist, however, when it reveals exactly what happened to Eve.

Nothing spells the 1980s like a soundtrack that features hits from Tears For Fears, New Order and the Pet Shop Boys, but more than being a playlist of classic songs they help set the tone for White Bird In A Blizzard. While not featured on the soundtrack release, the movie also features The Cure's "Pictures Of You" and "Dazzle" by Siouxsie and the Banshees. Couteau Twins also contributed to the soundtrack with "Sea, Swallow Me" with co-composer Harold Budd; this makes sense considering Couteau Twin's Robin Guthrie is the movie's other composer.

White Bird In A Blizzard didn't do great business and 2014 was the same year that Shailene Woodley's Mary Jane was cut from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Still, it turned out to be her breakthrough year too as an actress, thanks to lead roles in The Fault In Our Stars and the first Divergent movie.
