Movie monsters are the hallmark of the horror genre. From the shark in Jaws to the variety of species in the Godzilla movies, monsters have always been an integral part of many sci-fi horror films. More often than not, they also have a huge fan base.

But despite many viewers believing that they are simply monsters and nothing else, it is actually possible to determine these monsters' personality types, so here is which movie monster you are, based on your MBTI!

ISFJ (Defender): King Kong (King Kong)

ISFJs known as the Defenders are protective people who care for their loved ones a lot. King Kong's classic story is actually not as chaotic as you might think.

He cares for the woman he abducts and genuinely tries to protect her even though everyone else around them sees him as the bad guy who must be killed.

ESFP (Entertainer): Pennywise (IT)

Entertainers are spontaneous and energetic people, quite like Pennywise in IT. He is not just any monster - he is an alien who can change his appearance depending on what the person is most afraid of.

This is very similar to the real-life actors who often happen to be ESFPs.

ISFP (Adventurer): The Pale Man (Pan's Labyrinth)

ISFP or Adventurer is the personality type of a person who is an artist ready to explore the possibilities set before him. The Pale Man from Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth is exactly of such kind.

The Pale Man is located in a place that is quite "artistic" in a way that could connect him to being an Adventurer and artist ready to explore.

ISTP (Virtuoso): Frankenstein's Monster (Frankenstein)

ISTP type or Virtuoso includes experimenters who are masters of all kinds of tools. Of course, this description mostly relates to Victor Frankenstein himself rather than the monster he had created.

You could say that his creation would be somewhat of a child to him and would have some of his "father's" personality traits.

ENFP (Campaigner): Thing (The Thing)

Campaigners are enthusiastic and sociable people and calling the Thing a monster of this kind might sound twisted, but if you think about it, it's actually logical.

The Thing adapts by imitating other organisms, but only after it gets to learn who it is trying to appear as. Consequently, it is quite sociable.

ENFJ (Protagonist): Xenomorph (Alien)

ENFJs are inspiring leaders which is why they are also called the Protagonists. You can't say that Xenomorphs behave as inspiring leaders, but their main one, Queen Alien, could definitely be called a Protagonist.

The queens of Xenomorphs are superior to other representatives of their race both in the mental and physical senses. The queens motivate others to protect them and their children.

INFJ (Advocate): Clover (Cloverfield)

INFJ, also known as Advocate, is the type of people who are quiet yet inspiring idealists. There is not much known about the Clover monster from the Cloverfield universe, but we know that he is probably an alien.

Nevertheless, it is one of the most terrifying monsters in modern horror movies.

ESTP (Entrepreneur): T-Rex (Jurassic Park)

Entrepreneurs are energetic people that love living on the edge, and who could be more dangerous than the T-Rex himself?

This iconic dinosaur from the Jurassic Park franchise is by far one of the most menacing yet energetic and inescapable monsters you could encounter.

ESFJ (Consul): Werewolf (An American Werewolf in London)

Werewolf (An American Werewolf in London)

ESFJs are popular and caring people who are always ready to help others. The Werewolf from An American Werewolf in London could be considered one such example.

David Kessler, who turns into a werewolf after being bitten by one, is a caring person who just wants to spend a nice trip to London with his friend.

ESTJ (Executive): Gremlin (Gremlins)

A gremlin holds a gun in Gremlins

Executive type people are administrators who know how to manage people. Gremlins are mostly chaotic, but they do have some "rules" that make them evil only in certain circumstances.

In fact, Gremlins partially control people this way which could be considered similar to managing them as administrators.

ENTP (Debater): Bruce the Shark (Jaws)

ENTPs or Debaters are smart thinkers who love an intellectual challenge.

While Bruce the Shark from Jaws is not an actual debater, he is still much smarter than his fellow sharks and decides to mess around with the people trying to kill him.

INFP (Mediator): The Creature (Creature from the Black Lagoon)

INFPs are altruistic people who like helping others, but unlike ESFJs, they are not popular. The Creature (that looks very much like the Amphibian Man in The Shape of Water) is just like that.

However, it is safe to say that the Amphibian Man fits the "misunderstood monster" stereotype more than the Creature does.

INTP (Logician): Brundlefly (The Fly)

The Brundlefly in The Fly

Logicians are inventors that have a thirst for knowledge. While the Brundlefly itself does not fit this description, the mad scientist who turns into this monster, Seth Brundle, does.

He is eccentric and constantly tries to find new ways to approach certain matters.

INTJ (Architect): Predator (Predator)

INTJs or Architects always have a plan for everything. In a way, Predators are just like that.

Predators are extremely smart and skilled in battle. They have a plan for how to act and how to protect themselves (or attack others).

ISTJ (Logistician): Dracula (Dracula)

Logisticians (not Logicians) are practical and reliable people.

Dracula (but mostly vampires depicted in the more modern movies and TV shows) is one such "monster" who appears to be quite charming and reliable yet dangerous all along.

ENTJ (Commander): Godzilla (Godzilla)

Commanders are bold leaders who are quite similar to Protagonists (inspiring leaders).

Godzilla is an ENTJ because he has often been called the King of the Titans from the Godzilla movies (though now a new rebooted version is being developed called the MonsterVerse).
