Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends are some of the most recognizable cartoon characters on the planet, which can lead those who love them to speculate about the Sanrio zodiac signs. Sanrio started releasing merchandise featuring their original characters in the early 1960s in Japan. In 1974, the company debuted Hello Kitty, and she soon shot to superstardom. But when he does, his sister is there to help him. The twins both represent the strengths and weaknesses of Aries for Sanrio zodiac signs. Lala is optimistic and enthusiastic, while Kiki can be impatient and jump into adventure without thinking of the outcomes.

Aries is often thought of as the most impulsive sign, which might not fit Lala exactly, but certainly fits Kiki. Taurus: Gudetama

The sign of the bull, Taurus, is known for its devotion and stubbornness. No Sanrio universe character exudes these traits like the lazy egg Gudetama. Once Gudetama is comfortable, which is always, there is no moving them. No matter the situation, Gudetma is not moving from their egg white.

But despite their stubbornness, Gudetama is devoted ... to sleep. Taurus is known to be uncompromising on their worst days, but they can be reliable and patient with others on their best.

Gemini: Retsuko

May 22 - June 21

During the day, Restsuko is a dutiful accountant who tries to fulfill her boss's endless requests. But at night, Restsuko lets off steam at the karaoke clubs. Her genre of choice is always heavy metal, and she knows how to rock out.

Geminis are known for their ability to slip into social situations and fit in flawlessly, just like Restsuko. No one knows that she is a metalhead - she's their unassuming co-worker. But her duplicity isn't the only thing that makes Retsuko a Gemini. She is smart - she is an accountant, after all.

Cancer: My Melody

June 22 - July 22

My Melody has a big heart. She cares for all of her friends in her town. Cancers are known for showing their emotions, and My Melody is no exception. She is never afraid to express herself, whether sad, angry, or scared. My Melody has a big imagination, and she uses it to her advantage to plan the best parties for her friends.

Another one of My Melody's traits found in Cancer is her sentimentality. My Melody has a knack for finding the perfect gift in her shop for her friends that the receiver will cherish forever.

Leo: Cinnamoroll

July 23 - August 21

Cinnamoroll is the soft-spoken puppy friend of those in the Hello Kitty universe. Cinnamaroll is kind and caring, and he likes taking care of those around him, even if they don't ask for his help. When Hello Kitty is overwhelmed with orders at the café, Cinnamaroll steps in and delivers all the sweets without her knowing.

Cinnamaroll knows how to be a leader, just like a Leo. Leos love being the center of attention, but they are loyal to those they care about. As a fire sign, Leos are warm-hearted by nature.

Virgo: Pompompurin

August 22 - September 23

Virgos are kind and hardworking, just like Pompompurin. Purin helps Hello Kitty at her café, often saving her from being overwhelmed by customers. That's a very Virgo trait, as Virgos like to take care of those around them.

When in a baking competition with Cinnamoroll, Purin finds a way to correct a mishap and make sure they both have a chance at winning. Virgos often work too hard and forget to take breaks. Pompompurin isn't known for forgetting his breaks, but he will cut them short if one of his friends needs his help.

Libra: Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty is friends with everyone in her town. Like Libras, Hello Kitty is known to be charming and quickly makes friends with new people. When her friends are having trouble, Hello Kitty steps in to offer advice and rebalance their lives.

While it may be a romantic idea that the world can be perfectly balanced and only good things will happen, Hello Kitty will try and make it that way. Libras are known for trying to rectify a situation they encounter, even if a solution seems impossible to fix. They are often mediators among their friends, able to move between friend groups like a Gemini. Hello Kitty is a great listener and a better friend.

Hello Kitty's official birthday is celebrated by Sanrio on November 1, which would actually make her a Scorpio.

Scorpio: Kuromi

October 24 - November 22

Kuromi loves cute things, but don't tell anyone because it might ruin her image! She also loves Halloween and all things spooky. Even though she doesn't always share her interests with her friends, like most Scorpios, Kuromi is passionate about them. Where most people would be scared, Kuromi is curious.

Rather than being afraid of a haunted house, Kuromi laughs her way through it and wants to find ways to make it more spooky. Scorpios often share this trait, and they are known to be unfazed by even the most disturbing topics. That's because Scorpios love puzzles and figuring out how things work. That's what makes so many fictional Scorpio protagonists such great investigators.

Sagittarius: Tuxedo Sam

Tuxedo Sam is the dapper little blue penguin friend of Hello Kitty known for his superior sense of fashion and signature bow tie. Sagittariuses have a great sense of humor and Tuxedo Sam makes everyone around him laugh with his clumsiness.

Sagittarius often loves traveling, and Tuxedo Sam has done his fair share of traveling in his days with the Navy. In fact, he rose to the rank of captain before being discharged. While not every Sagittarius would love the structure of the Navy, they would certainly love that it could allow them to explore.

Capricorn: Keroppi

December 23 - January 20

Keroppi is a responsible and well-mannered little frog. Despite being Badtz's best friend, Keroppi follows the rules. Capricorns are known for having good self-control and being disciplined. But sometimes they can be a bit of a know-it-all when it comes to something they're passionate about.

Capricorns often prepare for the worst in a situation and Keroppi, at times, has that pessimistic outlook as well. Despite being a good friend, Keroppi gets worried about how his friends will react when he does something that may upset them by accident. He places a lot of stock in what those he cares about think of him, which is true of Capricorns as well, though they try not to let it show.

Aquarius: Badtz-Maru

January 21 - February 19

Badtz-Maru likes to do his own thing. When at a Ren-Fair with his friends, he decided that dressing as a time-traveling space captain was more their style than the traditional medieval costumes. In the world of Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru is considered a rebel, just like most Aquarians.

Badtz is a free spirit who loves video games and skateboarding. He is independent and often does things by himself, like working on special projects. Badtz can be stubborn, at times, but is ultimately a good friend.

Pisces: Chococat

February 20 - March 20

Chococat is a go-with-the-flow type of cat, but he is very intuitive. Chococat uses his ability to explore how people feel and his surroundings to solve mysteries. He is a laid-back cat who doesn't worry about much. Pisces are known for the same traits, though they can get lost in their emotions.

Pisces people are often very creative and involved in the arts. Even Chococat knows how to play instruments and teaches others among Hello Kitty and friends. Despite their intuitive nature, Pisces can be fearful at times, and they sometimes have a hard time jumping into adventures. Among the Sanrio zodiac signs, Pisces is the best fit for the artistic Chococat.
