With all the different personalities making their way into the show and specific behavior or mannerisms, everyone on the show can be compared to each Zodiac sign's personality traits. Here is which Brooklyn Nine-Nine character fans are most like according to their Zodiac sign.

Updated on February 20th, 2021 by Kristen Palamara: Brooklyn Nine-Nine continues to be a popular series due to its hilarious dialogue, well-developed characters, and fun and creative storylines throughout the series. Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a strong and large cast of main characters that each have a unique personality, but the show also has a large cast of recurring and guest-star characters that have just as well-developed personalities. Each character's traits on Brooklyn Nine-Nine whether main, secondary, recurring, or only appearing for a few episodes can be compared to each Zodiac sign's personality traits.

Keith "The Vulture" Pembroke - Scorpio

The Vulture looking serious on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Detective Keith Pembroke (Dean Winters), better known as The Vulture, is known for swooping in right before a case is solved so he can take credit for the legwork. Even though he doesn't typically have a good or moral work ethic, he's still a resourceful and brave character.

The Vulture can also have a jealous side and turn toward threats instead of actually putting in the work himself and he seems to have a difficult time fully trusting anyone. All of The Vulture's strengths and weaknesses are similar to the Scorpio personality.

Madeline Wuntch - Capricorn

Captain Holt and Madeline Wuntch in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Madeline Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick) is Captain Raymond Holt's main enemy in the series and the two are surprisingly very similar. Like Holt, Wuntch is responsible and well-disciplined both at work and in her personal life.

She's unforgiving and can act like a know it all at times similar to the Capricorn sign. She mostly keeps her facade, but frequently breaks it to try to get back at Holt.

Roger Peralta - Sagittarius

Roger and Jake Peralta Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Roger Peralta (Bradley Whitford) is Jake's absent father on the show and the two have a complicated relationship. Roger Peralta is a generous and idealistic character with a great sense of humor when he's actually in town, but Roger travels as a pilot with a busy schedule and isn't loyal to Jake or Jake's mom.

Roger promises more than he can deliver at times even though he's trying to change for the better, and all of these traits are similar to the Sagittarius sign's personality.

Michael Hitchcock - Taurus

Hitchcock is one-half of the least competent detective team in the department. One of the running jokes in the show is always mentioning how old Hitchcock is and how long he's been in the department. Despite all the changes and new faces, Hitchcock refuses to change his ways and maintains his lazy, careless persona.

Tauruses are stubborn, reluctant to change, and fiercely loyal to their friends and family. All qualities we see in Hitchcock.

Norm Scully - Libra

Norm Scully Brooklyn 99

Scully is surprisingly the less incompetent of the two but not by much. He has a little bit more pride in his work and like his partner, he prefers to let others do the hard work and he's more than happy just being on his desk.

As a Libra, Scully is spacey and a bit erratic, but he's fiercely loyal to his best friend. Libras value good friendships, no matter what, sharing an unbreakable bond of over 30n years with Hitchcock.

Doug Judy - Virgo

Jake and Doug Judy on Brooklyn 99

Doug Judy (Craig Robinson) is a well-known criminal and a constant thorn on Jake's side despite the two's friendship. Doug Judy takes pride in his crimes and outsmarting his friends at the department but ultimately he's not a bad guy.

He's picky about who he spends time with and the cars he steals (only sticking to Pontiacs) and can be a tad bit sensitive as he sometimes feels bad for lying or betraying Jake. He's a bit misunderstood but only because he wants it that way, just like a Virgo.

Adrian Pimento - Gemini

Adrian Pimento (Jason Mantzoukas) is a recurring guest on the show, a former flame to one of our main characters, and an overall unpredictable former detective. He's off the wall crazy, constantly showing some unpredictable and at times violent tantrums that come with years of being undercover in a gang.

Despite his unpredictability, he does do some good things and his experience is valued among those in the department. Given his mood swings and inability to handle the smallest task, he's a true Gemini.

Kevin Cozner - Pisces

Marc Evan Jackson as Kevin Cozner in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson) is Captain Holt's loving husband and support system for the nearly emotionless cop. As a husband, he acts as a sign of stability and reliability for the captain. Yet as a Pisces he's constantly worrying about Holt and is always begging him to be careful despite the Captain's desk job.

He's the Head of Classics in Columbia so you know he's extremely artistic and his compassion often trails down to Jake and pretty much anyone who looks to Kevin for advice.

Gina Linetti - Sagittarius

Gina Linetti Brooklyn 99

Gina Linetti is always the life of the party. She's upbeat, sarcastic, always has a smile on her face and she's the constant source of inspiration for everyone in the department. Despite being the only person in the precinct that's not officially a cop, the team looks to her for advice.

She's easily bored, always looking for excitement, and she loves being around people. Like Amy is to Aries, Gina is a textbook Sagittarius.

Amy Santiago - Aries

Since her introduction in the show, Amy has been the energetic go-getter that always has to be the best at what she does. She's a little bit of a teacher's pet, always trying to outdo her fellow officers and always trying to get the Captain's attention with her competitive nature.

Like any ambitious, young detective, Amy sometimes gets in over her head and has to be bailed out, despite her reluctance to ask for help. As for her sign, she is a textbook Aries.

Raymond Holt - Capricorn

Captain Holt is the stoic and serious leader of the precinct and the first openly gay and black captain of the precinct. He deals with a lot of hardships but manages to be a great leader, full of wisdom.

As a Capricorn, Holt is always serious, he's a little bit condescending, and he is a know it all. Despite being in an untraditional marriage, he still has a traditional married life and is very low-key about his personal life outside of work.

Rosa Diaz - Scorpio

Rosa Diaz Brooklyn 99

Rosa Diaz is intimidating and fiery, someone you don't want as your enemy. She's a little bit of a hothead, quick to fight whenever she feels threatened or uncomfortable and she is arguably the bravest of her friends.

As a Scorpio, she's resourceful, secretive, and she just wants to be left alone. She does have a sensitive side, but you will most likely never see it.

Terry Jeffords - Aquarius

Captain Holt may be the Captain of the precinct, but it's Terry that keeps the detectives in check. Terry is a massive man, easily towering over everyone and he has a muscular build that can be intimidating. Don't let that fool you because Terry is a very tolerant and patient leader, offering advice to his younger coworkers and rarely hesitating to help them out in any way he can.

He has high expectations of his precinct and officers, he's always pushing them to be the best they can be and dominant persona helps drill the point across. Terry is a true Aquarius.

Charles Boyle - Cancer

Charles Boyle

Charles is often the comic relief and most dedicated partner to our main protagonist, Jake. He's loyal, a little bit quirky, and he's emotional. He will do anything for his best friend, even if it's inconvenient for him or embarrassing.

As a Cancer, Charles is a little bit moody when he feels left out or when he doesn't get what he wants. He feels his partner's pain and puts his own well-being in the backseat for his friends.

Jake Peralta - Leo

Jake is energetic and immature, but he knows how to make people gravitate to him. His childlike demeanor gives him a bad rep but he is actually hands down one of the best cops in the precinct.

As a Leo, he's social, with a connection to just about everyone in the dept including graduating police academy with Rosa, marrying Amy, being childhood friends with Gina, and even having a connection with the emotionless Holt.
